A: The KX-TS880W does not use an adaptor. It uses (3) three high quality “AA” size Alkaline (LR6) or Manganese (R6, UM-3) batteries. The Caller ID and the speaker phone function will not work without batteries.

A: The KX-TS880B uses three high quality “AA” size Alkaline (LR6) or Manganese (R6, UM-3) batteries. You might need to replace the battery after about six months when using Alkaline batteries or about three months when using Manganese batteries. The telephone can still be used without the batteries installed but the display will become blank and therefore will not show Caller ID information.
