I had BB install this camera and the Pioneer DMH-W4660NEX in my 2007 C6 Corvette. Great matchup for an upgrade to my OEM 2007 radio. It fits and looks just like it came from the factory. My only complaint that I have is with the backup screen grid view. I don't know if it is the radio's firmware or the Pioneer ND-BC8 that is not allowing the backup grid lines to stay on each time in backup mode. I can manually touch the screen's line icon and make the grid lines come on, but those only stay on until I shift. Once I put it back in reverse, the lines are again missing until I press the line icon. It seems that the viewing backup screen by default will not keep my choice to have the parking grid lines showing without me manually choosing them each time I put the car in reverse. Other than this issue, the total install, radio and camera are great.

Used this camera to add backup camera capabilities to my grandson's 2012 Mini Cooper. Used a Master Tailgaters mirror with internal display screen, and the camera and the mirror work well together. Nice, clear, wide-angle view to increase backing safety and the mirror provides distance lines that can be easily calibrated. Installation a bit time-consuming, but if you want a neat job it will take time!

A little pricy if you compare to cameras you can buy on Amazon but you get what you pay for. I had bought a $20 camera on amazon to put in my tailgate handle and it was worthless because the horizontal field of view was so limited. I replaced with this in the exact same position and it was a night and day difference in regards to field of view and being useful for backing up. Highly recommend spending the extra money to get a decent camera like this. I've attached two pictures taken from the exact same position (vehicle didn't move) to illustrate the superior field of view compared with the bargain camera from "TopTierPro TTP-C12B" which claimed to have a 170º viewing angle. The Pioneer camera is supposed to have a horizontal 129º and a vertical 105º however you can see in the pictures it is clearly wider and taller than the cheap 170º camera.

So I got this Camera to install on my 2009 Suburban. My Suburban did not come with a backup camera, I wanted it to look Factory, so I bought a GM bezel to attach to the rear applique. This Camera fit inside with a little help (swapped the Allen Key screws for Philips head flat heads from an old computer hard drive...) anyway, supplied cable had 6 inches to spare, running it up the tailgate through the hing boot and then along the passenger side floor boards(in the factory cable track) and up to the head unit. Powered it from the passenger kick panel on a "switched" existing 12 volt supply. (fuse #43) The picture is fine, grainy at night with the OEM backup lamps, but not a fail. Upgraded to LED reverse lamps and the graininess has lessened. Perfect during the daylight. totally recommend this for others to use in their big SUV. Happy Fishing- (Wires that is).

I bought this backup camera to be installed with my Pioneer AVH-4200NEX radio and it works flawlessly! I love how the camera automatically comes on when I put my 4Runner in reverse! Highly recommended!

I was worried how this would look on my tailgate but it’s a super clean look - i don't even notice it. Clear image on receiver screen.

Replace the old back up camera and this one works great! Its a plug and play system and i don't have to replace the wires as well for the old camera

Nice pioneer camera you can mount anywhere on your car or SUV. I choose it because I mounted it up higher to keep it clean and get a better view.

My only complaint with this camera is that it doesn’t have the green/yellow/red bars that show up on the screen. But it is a discreet camera that looks great!

I recently purchased a Pioneer NEX (3300) head unit for my older Ford, and I was interested in adding a backup camera as well. The unit will accept most cameras on the market, but I decided to stick with Pioneer. I am happy with the decision. Install was a breeze, wiring was simple in that there are three wires in total (power/video) and config in my head units was a snap. Video quality is good in daylight conditions, and decent/OK in dark/night conditions. Mounting is achieved with a 3M adhesive pad on the bracket, so no need to drill holes or screw in anything to the rear of your vehicle. The adhesive is strong (as you'd expect from a quality 3M product) so I don't have any concerns of it coming loose. If you're on the fence about install, consider using a install service, such a Geek Squad. The nerdy car audio installers are pretty smart, efficient and typically know their stuff. However, if you're mechanically-inclined, a professional install really isn't necessary. There are plenty of videos online in the event you get stuck.

This is a handy small (camera) unit. The features I like best are the ability to tilt the unit with the supplied wrench and the ease of connection. The camera is a bit more expensive than those supplied with car stereos purchased on eBay. This unit performs well in day and night situations. The one negative is the mounting adhesive tape was not very strong and even though I prepped the surface, it did not hold for more than a month. I ended up supplementing the mounting addhesive, with a double sided molding tape that is thicker (gray in color) and that has held with n problemsl. The camera functions very well and is drawing its power from the front radio wiring harness vs. the back up lights.

I bought this on an open box excellent deal to go along with the pioneer radio I bought for my 2007 Ford Escape. Honestly one of the best back up cameras I've seen in any car. The wiring was a bit of a pain and I didn't really have a great place to mount it but it works great. It works better (especially at night) than any stock back up camera I've seen in any other car. It has a huge range of view and I can even use it while driving forwards to look at things behind me. With where mine is mounted I can see surprisingly well although the lines don't really display on the ground so I leave them turned off. All in all great product.

I got a new Pioneer 4200 NEX head unit, so I went ahead with this rear-view camera. It's decent for the price. The picture is not so great, but it's useful and it works at night. Contains an ADHESIVE STRIP to mount it to the back of your car, not screws, so beware! I hope it doesn't fall off over time, but it's survived a couple of car washes so far. It was cheaper than the actual installation of $129!

This camera has good coloring and is easy to install if you have some experience in car audio. The one problem I am having is sometime the back up lines dont come on. But it is still a good camera.

Its definitely smaller than i thought that is a good thing i haven't installed it yet everything seems straight forward i like the connections but they do seem a little fragile but haven't installed so I don't know for sure camera itself doesn't feel cheap has some weight to it to be so small will updat after installation

So I decided to add this to my stereo that was being installed through Best Buy. Great addition, especially when backing up. Now you probably thinking why would you. We’d a backup camera, but when you drive a truck having a backup camera is a big plus. Picture quality is great, have not had any issues, just with the rain which is to be expected since the camera is mounted outside the vehicle. If you thinking about adding this to your car I recommend it. The size is great so don’t worry about it being bulky.

I use this camera mostly to back up to my boat trailer and it works great both in the day time and in low light at night. I also aids with backing into spaces and making sure there’s nothing behind you to hit. Very clear for the price and easy to adjust just by bending it into position yet it holds that position.

This Is a great camera. I is very good in low light condition and its field of view is excellent. It is also small and discreet. I highly recommend it
