    Stylish Vertical Messenger Bag

I purchased this bag for my son who is a senior in college. My son fancied my Brenthaven Collins vertical messenger bag but I would not part with it. Sadly, Brenthaven no longer makes the Collins bag and I have been unable to find a similarly stylish bag. That is until I saw the the PKG - Riverdale bag. While IMHO it is not as attractive as the Brenthaven, it checks off many of the same style points and in some ways, superior to the Collins. I love leather accents and magnetic closures that keep the straps neat. More importantly, my son loved the bag. See the picture to compare the two bags side-by-side.

    Exactly what I need

I’ve been using the PKG laptop bag for a couple of years now, mainly for commuting between the hospital and home, and it’s honestly been a solid everyday bag. I carry a 15-inch laptop, charger, small notebook, and a few personal items, and everything fits without feeling overstuffed. I really like the vertical design because it feels more compact and less bulky than traditional laptop bags, especially when I’m moving around a lot. The dark grey and tan color combination looks clean and professional, which works well in both clinical and casual settings. It’s lightweight on my shoulder, and the strap is comfortable even when I’m carrying it for longer periods. Overall, it feels practical, well-organized, and easy to grab and go, which is exactly what I needed. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a laptop messenger bag!!

ALPAKA - Essential Backpack 16L Laptop Backpack for Up to 16" Laptops with Water Bottle Holder and Water-Resistant Design - Green
5.0(1)

The ALPAKA Essential Backpack 16L is a lightweight 16L laptop backpack designed for work, commuting, campus, and everyday carry. Its streamlined profile is larger than a compact 10L–12L daypack because it fits most laptops up to 16 inches, including a 16-inch MacBook Pro, while remaining smaller than a full-size travel backpack. Weighing approximately 1.6 lb. (700 g), it is best suited for a laptop, charger, notebook, light layer, water bottle, and other daily essentials rather than bulky gear or overnight packing. The wide-opening main compartment makes packing and access easier, while a front pocket with a MOD Key Tether, an expandable interior zippered pocket, and a hidden side pocket organize chargers, cables, keys, and small accessories. The internal bottle pocket keeps a water bottle upright and uses some main-compartment space when filled. A soft-lined top pocket protects sunglasses or other delicate items. Made with weather-resistant Axoflux 210D ripstop nylon, YKK AquaGuard zippers, paracord pulls, and Axoflux X-Grid 150D lining, this commuter backpack helps protect gear from light rain and everyday wear. A rear luggage pass-through slides over rolling suitcase handles, while an exterior webbing loop supports compatible ALPAKA HUB carabiners, sold separately.
