A: Out of the box it's PC only, the headset has a 3.5mm cable that is about a foot long and the extension is 3.5mm female to USB. I imagine that you can get a 3.5mm extension to use with a console but I haven't tried that to verify it will function properly and the Dolby adapter is built into the USB extension not the headset. So if it does work it likely won't be dolby7.1.
A: No, our RIG gaming headsets are not recommended for office use and they are not available with a Quick Disconnect connector. Our team is available to assist you at www.plantronics.com/support, please don't hesitate to contact us if you have other questions!
A: It's USB should work on both OS's as near as I can tell
Q: Is there any extra software I have to download to use this headset to its fullest?
A: There is an audio driver you get from the Plantronics support site. It definitely makes a difference in audio quality when you change the settings through the minimal software it runs in the background.
A: Our RIG 515HD does have a noise cancelling microphone, however, the speakers do not feature active noise cancellation which might be what the specifications are referring to.
A: Unfortunately we cannot provide a recommendation or feature comparison to products from other brands but our customer care group is available to answer any questions you might have regarding our products at www.plantronics.com/support
A: The 515hd's in my opinion are the most comfortable to wear and will definitely be the best price=quality deal you can get out of the 3.(:
Q: Are these universal? Sending to a friend in Sweden, want to make sure they work .
A: Yes, the headset comes with a USB audio adapter and can be used by computers and other devices that support USB audio interfaces.
