A: The bottom portion of the bag is 100% waterproof - which is significant since that part of the bag will have the most contact with the ground and moisture. The remainder of the bag is water resistant - so while you can't dunk it in a pool it will standup to some reasonable amount of moisture for a reasonable amount of time while you find a place to shelter. The vast majority of bags in this price point will not claim to have any amount of 'water-proofing' so this is a great value camera bag.
