  • Key Specs
    • Storage Capacity: 2000 gigabytes (Measured in megabytes (MB), gigabytes (GB) and terabytes (TB), this is the amount available for storing files, music, movies, photos and more. The total includes the capacity of the hard disk drive and solid state drive if both are included on the computer.)
    • Storage Drive Type: SSD (Traditional, mechanical hard disk drives are the most common type of storage because they're relatively inexpensive and offer huge capacities. However, they also generate both noise and heat. Solid state drives, also known as SSDs, are many times faster than hard disk drives and have no moving parts to wear out, but typically offer less capacity for the same price.)
    • Maximum Read Speed: 2100 megabytes per second (The greatest speed at which the device can read information; for example, opening files.)
    • Maximum Write Speed: 1900 megabytes per second (The greatest speed at which the device can write information; for example, saving files.)
    • Form Factor: M.2 2280
    • Interface(s): PCIe Gen 3 x4 (Refers to the types of connections that devices use to interact and communicate with each other.)

The PNY CS1030 M.2 NVMe SSD is an excellent choice for an NVMe upgrade from a SATA based solid state drive (SSD) or hard traditional hard drive in an NVMe enabled desktop or laptop computer. The CS1030 drive is designed to be an upgrade from conventional SATA based storage to take advantage of the high bandwidth of the NVMe interface to help realize faster boot times, quicker application launches, and better overall system performance. Do more in less time with NVMe; boot up, power down, and load applications up to 4 times faster than with SATA based storage. With no moving parts, the PNY CS1030 M.2 NVMe SSD is highly durable, less likely to fail, and supports a 5 year warranty.

  • NVMe: Mainstream NVMe upgrade from a SATA based solid state drive (SSD) in NVMe enabled laptop or desktop computers for super-fast OS boot times and application loads
  • Interface: The NVMe PCIe Gen3 x4 interface delivers exceptional performance of up to 2,100MB/s seq. read and 1,900MB/s seq. write speeds
  • Enhanced Bandwith: The enhanced bandwidth of the NVMe interface allows for high performance and low latency, making it superior to SATA based SSD’s and HDD’s
  • Performance: Premium performance and ultra low power consumption ideal for demanding applications and improving battery life in laptops
  • Warranty and Tech Support: Competitive 5 Year Warranty backed by 24/7 US based technical support

Q: Can this ssd work on a ps5?

A: No. You need a Proper Gen 4 Drive, this is Gen 3.

Q: Will this work on an hp omen pc?

A: Yes, the HP Omen has a extra M.2 slot. You will may have to hunt down a mounting screw.

Q: Will this work as an External drive in an M.2 enclosure for PS5 - to store and play PS4 games?

A: I have two 1TB that I use as External drives on a computer. I don't own or have any knowledge about the PS4 or PS5 systems.

Q: Can I use this for a PC and connect it directly to the motherboard?

A: If Your motherboard has a spare M.2 slot than Yes.

Q: How much DRAM is in it? If any? The lifespan is usually affected by this and I want to know it’s general longevity, especially for the price tag.

A: This is a DRAMLESS drive. Should be fine for general long term game storage. for those Games you dont want to uninstall but dont want on the main drive.
