I love these SSD's! I bought one and it's the fastest of several SSDs that I own. I decided to buy a second one and configure them in a RAID stripe configuration. I get over a GB/sec read and write times. Decompressing archives and loading large apps/games is so blazing fast. One of the best values I've had recently on any piece of tech. The screenshot attached shoes this 2x SSD raid config, a 2x HDD raid config, and a memory disk on DDR3 1600 dual channel RAM. The results speak for themselves!

This drive is really quite fast it's comparable to a Samsung SSD Evo series in performance for better price. It is light, fast, and efficient. Exceptional performance offering up to 550 MB/s seq. read and 520 MB/s seq. write speeds. 90,000 IOPS Random Read / up to 90,000 IOPS Random Write Installation went well. No problems so far. This drive is excellent SSD& brought new life to my 3 year old laptop PC.

It turned out we also needed a small sata drive. I was SO glad in the end not to be charged for this.

In a i7-3537U 2.0 - 2.5 Ghz laptop with 8Gb of memory, using the PNYCS-1311 a cold boot of Windows 10 is under 13 seconds. If you're using a desktop or laptop with a spinning hard drive, this is such a great upgrade. These are so much faster than conventional hard drives. Windows 10 boots up in less than a minute. Some might be tempted to go with a bigger and cheaper hard drive. You can always add storage, but make this your main system drive and the performance gain is awesome.

This is my second PNY SSD. It performs flawlessly, was easy to install, is very fast and long-lasting, and economical. It has dramatically increased the speed of startup and all other functions of my computer that require multiple drive accesses, and storage and retrieval.

This is my first SSD and since I don't need a lot of storage I opted for the 240 GB version. My computer goes from power-on to usable in under ten seconds and files transfer instantly from place to place. The drive is aggressively priced compared to other brands and runs completely silently. Pros: Fast, fast, fast! Cons: Make sure you're ok with the storage size. Customers that have lots of photos or videos on their device will want a secondary drive. (Desktop users - Make sure your case has a spot for 2.5" drives. I had to squeeze mine into a weird spot.)

We are at a point in time when ssd drives are offering huge performance increases for little relative cost. The unfortunate thing is PC manufacturers have not kept up with the consumer demand and still use slower and cheaper mechanical hard drives as much as they can get away with in their mid to lower end systems. This new ssd drive series from PNY is the answer to that problem. High performance ,low price, free access to migration software and a 3 year warranty gives you a huge upgrade in terms of real world performance. Windows boots faster, programs load quicker, overall "feel" of an ssd upgrade can make you feel like you bought a new computer!

Read reviews since it was PNY and I usualy buy Sandisk or Transcend...Anyways reviews from BB where awesome and it came with a license for 2014 Acronis True Image HD. Used the SSD to replace a Kingston 120GB in CF-30 Panasonic TOUGHBOOK and the Acronis software is better than my paid version of EASUS PARTITION MASTER...Natuarlly though since I had a license for Acronis then I upgraded to 2016 True Image (discount). SSD was cloned with software a booted up perfectly after swap with the 120GB. Can't go wrong with 240GB for price and Acronis++++

Got this for a work computer because the original drive was staying to fall, ended up buy 6 total. These are great for laptops and desktops due to the fact they are much faster and have no moving parts, it's almost as fast as ram. Benefits Significant Longer battery life in laptops Faster loss times, on average boys to windows and done loading everything in 15-30 second from a cold/turned off state Better reliability And more portable, since it is light weight and has no moving parts you can move, shake, or even drop you laptop with out worrying about the hard drive losing data or dying

Best bang for the buck without question. Made my new laptop MUCH faster and gave in about 1 hour better battery life. My laptop boots up in under 8 seconds now. Word and chrome launches instantly. Most important for me is that is made my laptop very quiet. The fan comes on less, and when it does, it is barely audible. Make sure to get at least the 240 gig because it is 180mbps faster on the read and write than the 120 gig ( i have both installed on 2 different laptops). Definitely buy, this will give new life to your pc and make it quieter and give your laptop noticeably better battery life.

Lots of performance for the money. Fast SSD, easy install - I used Macrium Free to clone the drive. Cost was very good. All in all I am very pleased.

Solid state is the way to go, Faster, more reliable, and now almost as cheap per gigabyte. I've installed several of these inexpensive PNY drives in customer's computers over the past year or so. Their systems are much faster now, and none of them have had problems so far. If you go with the small, 120 GB drives, make sure you check how much space you need. It may not be enough if you have a lot of pictures, music, and/or video. Some other techs have said the PNY brand may not be as reliable, but I haven't seen any failures.

Lost physical drive in a newer Dell 4000 series. Second drive actually. I decided to go with an SSD this time around. Boot times are up and the performance of the box is greatly improved. While the storage capacity is not as high as the 1TB drive that came OEM the SSD has more than enough space for Windows 10 and applications without going over the 60% mark. I do recommend this drive it has been flawless thus far. Also included was a license for cloning software.

I have had PNY SSD in my desktop for almost two years now and it works great. So I decided to buy another one for my new low-to-mid range Lenovo laptop to speed up its boot, sleep, wake, hibernate and shutdown. The hard drive would previously be at 100% usage for a few minutes after boot or resume and would make it a little sluggish. The drive includes a redemption key for a partial version of Acronis True Image 2016. It includes enough features to clone, backup and restore hard drives. I wasn't able to get the Clone Disk to work from inside Windows. But I read Acronis' instruction manual and it recommended performing the Backup/Restore method for hard drives with muliple partitions using the included USB Media boot option. True Image created a bootable USB for me to boot directly into True Image. So I installed the new drive where my old hard drive was, then attached my old hard drive with a USB cable as well as a third USB external drive as well as the USB drive to my laptop. The bootable True Image allowed me to make a perfect image of my existing hard drive (Seagate drive from Lenovo that came with 5 parititions) to my third hard drive for emergency restoration, just in case. Then I was able to restore that image to the new drive. About 60 minutes later after the backup and restore with about 100GB of my 1TB drive being used, I disconnected all the external drives and rebooted my machine to see that it booted up just as it had before, except about 5-10 times as fast. (If you don't have an external SATA-USB cable to attach your old hard drive, you can use the other internal hard drive SATA connection in your machine, if you have one. The software makes it real easy to determine which drive is which using the name and size of the drive (in GBs). I had to use a SATA-USB cable because my laptop only has one slot for an internal hard drive.)

I got this on sale to replace a failed mechanical drive and it has been great since installing. About as fast as the Samsung 830 I have in another machine, bootup time on old Alienware m17x Q9000 model with 8GB of RAM reduced from 33s to 12s booting Windows 8.1 x64. Extended time before powering down due to overheating as well (Yes, I bought a laptop cooler and that keeps it from dying. Overall heat produced has dropped significantly though).

Installed on a Dell Latitude E5470. Once installed and Windows 10 loaded, the laptop boot up within 7 seconds. I removed a Toshiba 500Gb 7200RPM Mechanical drive from the laptop that made the i7 laptop feel sluggish. I have the same ssd in my main gaming rig for over 3 years running strong. BF4 and Gears 4 load quickly. 204GB is barely enough for those two games so beware.

This drive is inexpensive for the quality it has. Easy to install and has a great performance. I don't know why someone would buy a standard drive any longer...
