PolarPro - QuartzLine FX - Mist Filter The PolarPro QuartzLine FX Mist Filter adds atmospheric illumination to everyday light and eliminates the harsh, over-sharpened look of today's digital sensors. This mist filter is the one with nearly 1/4th diffusion. Diffusion filters can soften skin tones and general unevenness in the scene while maintaining image sharpness. This soft look adds an extra layer of production value. Ideal for creative shots in documentaries, short films, music videos and other commercial projects. Filter glass quality Characteristic of a PolarPro Quartzline filter is its perfect colour neutrality. Where other filters tend to have a slightly magenta or greenish tint, the Quartzline filters hardly show any colour difference compared to reality. With these lens filters you are assured of true-to-life colours in your images! All filters from the PolarPro Quartzline FX series are made of high quality quartz glass, which ensures unprecedented durability and clarity. The glass element has a very low refractive index of only 1.46, so there is no loss of sharpness when using this filter. In addition, quartz glass is extremely temperature resistant and is perfectly suited to sensors up to 100 megapixels. Perfect for photographers and filmmakers who like to work in and with extreme conditions. 16-layer multicoating The high-quality quartz glass lens element is equipped with a 16-layer multicoating coating. Durable brass filter mount A well-known filter problem is that, if you do not turn them exactly straight on the lens, they often get stuck on the lens. The PolarPro Quartzline filters are equipped with a robust brass filter mount, which makes the filter easy to attach and remove.
