A: Hello, The Atrium 5 is a fairly sensitive speaker that can output plenty of sound. This is a passive speaker that is rated to work with amps that operate between 10 watts → 100 watts at 8ohms.
Q: Is it recommended to use these speakers indoors as well?
A: The Polk Audio Atrium 5 speakers are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.
A: Hello, and thank you for your question and interest in our product. The Polk Audio Atrium outdoor speakers are designed to withstand extreme elements. "Built to withstand the worst elements—salt-fog, UV, extreme temps or heavy rains, you name it." There is no temperature rating listed, but they can handle below freezing.
Q: What is the outdoor temperature rating for these?
A: Im not sure what the Manufacturers temperature rating suggestion are but I use mine in temps ranging from 30°F to over a 100°F.
Q: Can you paint the cover of the speaker's?
A: Yes you can paint the grills. Just use a nice even spray paint and primer. Rustoleum Paint would be my choice. I wouldn't paint the speaker housing though. Just the grill.
