Possum Moods - Northern Times - VINYL LP

Originally released digitally as two separate volumes in 2022, Wonderwheel is happy to present a 12Inch of Populous' InchMoonbahtonsInch - a collection of dark reggaeton and moonbahton style dance floor tracks influenced by the magic & mystery of the zodiac. Cuts inspired by the zodiac, magic, and mystery of the universe. Things kick off with InchFlauta Magica,Inch focusing around the clave and a brooding synth line and a dembow style beat interweaving itself with the flute & a little bit of acid vibes for good measure, while InchSapo,Inch a distant, foreboding track with a monster of a beat & bassline complimenting a childlike fairy tale melody on top. On the flip, InchGlass DubplateInch is a percussive track with emotive pads, a melody reminiscent of finger piano and synth bleeps, while InchBerlinese DubplateInch goes into tougher, late night territory with deep bass, roiling percussion and dubby electronics. Album Tracks 1. Flauta Magica 2. Sapo 3. Glass Dubplate 4. Berlinese Dubplate

The 'Abroad EP' catalogues a period of time spent travelling Japan in the spring of 2019. Throughout the course of the month-long trip, Rudy carried around a portable recorder, capturing various sounds that caught his ear. That collection of found sounds would eventually become the foundation for the EP, each track utilizing a handful of different recordings ranging from bird calls in Tokyo's Yoyogi Park, to windchimes in the coastal town of Kawazu. The EP took a full year of patient, daily work to complete, during which time Rudy invited a diverse group of collaborators in to help finish the songs. Throughout the recording process, harp, saxophone, and violin parts were added to create a unique blend of organic and electronic sounds. 1. Landing (Intro)2. InMyMind (ft. Deneita)3. Nakano4. Vinyl LP pressing. The universe feels real on The Turnpike Troubadours because the band resolved to let the album happen on it's own time. Moving out to the Prairie Sun recording complex in the desert country of Cotati, California, setting up in former chicken coops converted into studios, they metaphorically unplugged the clock and worked studiously through 12-hour sessions, wrapping up only when each story and every note rang true. There's Inch7 OaksInch, recounting a life made desperate by poverty, made more vivid by an incongruous hoedown accompaniment. InchBossier City,Inch focused on a sad mill worker who blows his pay regularly on gambling and booze. Album Tracks 1. The Bird Hunters 2. The Mercury 3. Down Here 4. Time of Day 5. Ringing in the Year 6. A Little Song 7. Long Drive Home 8. Easton & Main 9. 7 Oaks 10. Doreen 11. Fall Out of Love 12. Bossier City
