Q: Is there software to customize the lights, for is it stuck with rainbow
A: No software -- 3 separate zones (top-middle-bottom) you select from a series of button sequences explained in its manual. You can choose to make it all zones "cool blue", "alien green", etc. or make each zone a different color. You can also make any zone "breathe" which merely elevator cycles the selected color. You also have an ON/OFF option for these LEDs at anytime.
A: Do not purchase this controller, it may work on the PC via USB for a short time but these controllers consistently break in a similar fashion. Literally go with any other brand.
