About this product
QED marks its 50th anniversary with the Golden Anniversary XT, a special edition speaker cable designed for audiophiles seeking premium performance at a realistic price. Drawing on five decades of award-winning innovation and expertise, this cable delivers clarity and consistency across all frequencies. QED pioneered the high-end speaker cable category with products like the 79 Strand and the Genesis Report, which laid the groundwork for modern cable design. The Golden Anniversary XT incorporates this legacy with cutting-edge X-Tube™ Plus technology, blending X-Tube™ and Aircore™ technologies to minimize both skin and proximity effects, ensuring an even signal distribution. The hybrid conductor combines ultra-pure Ohno Continuous Cast Copper and 99.999% oxygen-free copper, enhancing signal retention and transient detail. Insulation is handled by low-density polyethylene for superior efficiency and low signal loss. With robust Airloc™ Forte banana plugs, the cable provides oxidation resistance and a secure physical connection. The result is a product engineered for reliability and exceptional sonic performance. Widely acclaimed by industry experts, it’s received top awards from What Hi-Fi?, The Ear, Hi-Fi Choice, and others.
