Expertly CNC machined from robust 6061-T6 aluminum, this base plate offers a precise fit, leveraging the unique shape of the Z7/Z6 cameras. With proprietary hardware that threads into the camera's 1/4"-20 socket, the BZ7 plate ensures a rigid, square, and motionless installation.This base plate is equipped with a standard 1.5" wide RRS dovetail railing, enabling consistent locking into any RRS quick release clamp or compatible Arca-Swiss clamp. Notably, the BZ7 base plate is fully compatible with the Nikon FTZ adapter, enhancing its versatility.The BZ7 base plate also features an integrated anchor for attaching a conventional camera strap directly onto the plate, as well as a QD socket for quick installation of QD-type camera straps. The plate's design allows full access to the battery door, while improving the ergonomics and safety of the Z7/Z6 body's grip.As the premier solution for mounting the Z7 or Z6 camera to a tripod, the BZ7 base plate is part of a modular set that accepts a custom, CNC machined L-shaped component. This transforms it into a comprehensive L-plate with both horizontal and vertical RRS dovetail rails. The Really Right Stuff BZ7-L Set offers photographers the unique advantage of swiftly switching from landscape to portrait orientations without the need to recompose their image.Additional features include a second QD socket, integrated hex key, and full access to the left side port doors of the camera. The upright is designed to allow the doors to fully swing out of the way. Moreover, the L-component can be slid up to 1.25" away from the left-hand side of the camera, accommodating full cable tethering while shooting in portrait orientation.
