Red Camp, the self-proclaimed Inchfugitive piano smasher from 52nd Street,Inch plays mad jazz piano on this 1955 Cook Records . Born in West Texas, he describes his music as being caught in the war between the InchMoldy FigsInch (jazz purists) and Be Boppers (a more modern style). No liner notes are available on this album.

One early morning, way past midnight, Pianist Red Camp engaged himself in a one-person jam session... on a clavichord. The delicate, 14th century instrument is more likely to be associated with C.P.E. Bach than with the often atonal free improvisation heard here, but this is compelling music and musicianship.
