Q: I have a pair of OHM RS-9's that are 4 ohm. Will this work?
A: Hi Denny. I’ve been an audiophile hobbyist for almost 40 years and I can definitely help you with this question. Your Ohm RS-9 speakers that are rated at 4 ohms can definitely be powered by the Rotel A10mkii integrated amplifier. . The A10 is rated to put out 50 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 60 watts per channel into 4 ohms. The important consideration is the rated sensitivity of the RS-9 speakers are 89db. That will be the most useful specification to how they match up. I have a different set of speakers, Paradigm reference studio 20 speakers with the same 89db rating as your speakers. I hooked them up to the a10mkii and found that they worked fine for low to medium listening levels. My mom came in the room and with a song she liked asked me to turn up the volume slightly. Think of the loudest that you would want the TV turned up but can still talk over. The volume was turned up to 11 o clock position. As you go up in sensitivity rating by 3 decibels you double the volume. If you want more volume than medium level you should get a amplifier with at least 100 watts per channel. Even if you don’t play louder the increased power will power your speakers better at lower volumes with a cleaner, clearer, more transparent and open presentation instead of sounding more distant and subdued which is what mine sounded like trying both amplifiers. If you like a more subdued and layed back presentation and your only going to listen at moderate listening levels than the Rotel a10mkii is a good choice. I know this was a long answer but I hope it helps.
