Q: I'm not familiar with the drawer style. So can you take the drawer completely out to empty it?
A: The draw is the waste basket. It slides out to dump the shreds, just don't over fill it or you will have little papers all over the floor.
Q: What is the security level? It’s not listed on any of your shredders.
A: Hello QueenS Royal 112MX is a P4 shredder. Royal Support Team
A: Hello MLM, yes, the shredder comes with everything you need to start using it (it only misses the paper sheets). Do not worry, it's just plug & play. Royal Support Team
A: Hello mitsfamily the MC8 shredder as well as all Royal shredders do not require oiling or periodic oiling. Some manufacturers of paper shredders sell shredder oil and or lubrication sheets. Therefore they promote the use of oiling the cutter assembly. It won't hurt the Royal shredder as long as the proper type of oil is used, approved vegetable based oil. However, as said, it is not required. Royal Support Team
Q: How long can you run it before it needs a cool down? How long is cool down?
A: Brand new out of the box I put thru 4 years of tax returns. There were about 20 paper sheets per year, so I ran thru 4 sheets at a time. I did not time how long it ran but I would guess 15 minutes, then the over heat switch shut it down. I had almost finished the fourth year when it over heated, after a hour I returned and finished. Since then I have only used it 3 times a week for a couple of minutes and it works fine, if you pace yourself and don't overdue it will keep going. It is not a office shredder it's for light duty home use.
