    Happily Surprised!

    The BestBuy website photos don't do it justice -- this is a beautiful A/V cabinet. It is a solid wood cabinet that weighs nearly 300 pounds. Their photos don't show that it includes a fifth and sixth leg (towards the middle) to support the weight. The cabinet arrived in perfect condition at my house (fully assembled) in a carefully packed box. It is the perfect size for my new LG 65" OLED TV, with a Home Pod sitting on either side of the screen. The venting underneath and behind the two easy-close glass-doored compartments provides adequate heat dissipation for my always-warm Cox Panoramic Internet box. There is also a nice, deep drawer in the middle at the bottom that also has a glass front. The drawer smoothly closes by itself with a gentle nudge. The cabinet top measures exactly 72" long by 21" deep by 25" tall. My floor-level photo shows the six cabinet legs (I added pads underneath each). There are three slidable panels on the backside (I temporarily removed them to wire my products). I was wary of buying a piece of furniture online, without seeing it in person. But I was pleasantly surprised by the quality. I highly recommend this A/V cabinet.

    Beautiful, sturdy cabinet!

    Beautiful cabinet and very well made. Comes assembled and weighs approximately 275lbs so be prepared for that. If you’re an audiophile, make sure you measure your amps depth if you plan on putting them inside the cabinet. With heavy duty attached speaker cables, this may be a challenge. I have so many cables, I couldn’t use the back panel covers, but not a big deal. I also have about 300lbs of equipment in it, so it can handle a lot! Lastly, even though Best Buy charged for shipping, it was still the best price I found by $150. Very happy with the purchase!

    Salamander A/V Cabinet

    It’s made very well and has shelves on each side that are adjustable. We like the open space in the middle because it houses are Dish Receiver, which runs warm. It looks nice with our 77 inch Sony TV. The walnut finish goes very well with our end table sized speakers. We like the pull out drawer in the middle on the bottom. It’s great for storing DVDs and CDs. We appreciate it that it arrived in perfect condition!

    Well built furniture

    Solid Build, well packaged for protection. You will need a friend to help move this item due to its weight. Taking it out of the box first was helpful. Very happy with my purchase.

  • Why is this item, which is essentially a cabinet for audio/visual equipment, so much more expensive than most items that will go inside of it? Is it handcrafted? Made of ultra-rare materials? Who the heck drops a grand of storage for an Xbox?

    I was having difficulty finding a unit that had the proper finish, glass doors and a center channel opening. Is also wanted something that would complement the 86” screen. The price was a bit daunting but the workmanship seems to be good with clean fit and finish and solid construction. I balked a bit at the price but it was pretty much just what I was looking for and I needed to consolidate my components.

  • I'm looking for a cabinet that I can place my 40lb amp and 35 lb. integrated amp on separate shelves. Will this cabinet support the weight?

    The top can hold 80 pounds and you can put 20 pounds on the adjustable shelf that pulls in and out.

  • When you have to move this unit, can you slide it across a wooden floor without causing any damage to the floor?

    I would strongly advise placing furniture pads under each of the six legs. The cabinet weighs nearly 300 pounds, and would most certainly mar a wooden floor. Given the wiring typically associated with A/V cabinets, there will be be times when you need to access your A/V components from the back. So, furniture pads are a must.

  • HOW DO YOU CLEAN THE UNIT?

    I used a slightly water-dampened microfiber cloth, and dried it with a dry microfiber cloth. I did this over and under the entire cabinet, including the glass doors.

  • For owners do you think this would hold a 100lb tv?

    The cabinet has six legs (four corners plus two middle legs that are 1/3 of the distance from each side). My 65" TV and stand weigh a combined 75 pounds, spread evenly over 39". If the weight of your TV is well-distributed, the six legs should bear the weight well. I would be wary (with any cabinet) of placing an expensive TV on top of a cabinet if its stand is less than 28" wide.
