    Beautiful, sturdy cabinet!

    Beautiful cabinet and very well made. Comes assembled and weighs approximately 275lbs so be prepared for that. If you’re an audiophile, make sure you measure your amps depth if you plan on putting them inside the cabinet. With heavy duty attached speaker cables, this may be a challenge. I have so many cables, I couldn’t use the back panel covers, but not a big deal. I also have about 300lbs of equipment in it, so it can handle a lot! Lastly, even though Best Buy charged for shipping, it was still the best price I found by $150. Very happy with the purchase!

    great ctv console

    When I first this I like it. But I wasn't sure I wanted to pay the cost to buy it. As it was what I felt was quite pricey. But I bought it anyway and now that I have it Im not sorry. It weighs over 250lbs and is very well made. It has soft close doors, vents. And glass that can be face up or down. It is a great console.

    Great media cabinet made for AV equipment!

    Very nice cabinet, nice hardware and finishes, and made to accommodate stereo equipment. I was shocked how many furniture store cabinets are made incorrectly and can’t fit standard 17” components. I caught this on an amazing sale and it was a great value and fit my huge amp when just about nothing else would. I made a few modifications to allow my cables to easily disconnect from the cabinet when I move it away from the wall, very happy with this purchase!

    Salamander A/V Cabinet

    It’s made very well and has shelves on each side that are adjustable. We like the open space in the middle because it houses are Dish Receiver, which runs warm. It looks nice with our 77 inch Sony TV. The walnut finish goes very well with our end table sized speakers. We like the pull out drawer in the middle on the bottom. It’s great for storing DVDs and CDs. We appreciate it that it arrived in perfect condition!

Questions & Answers

  • Why is this item, which is essentially a cabinet for audio/visual equipment, so much more expensive than most items that will go inside of it? Is it handcrafted? Made of ultra-rare materials? Who the heck drops a grand of storage for an Xbox?

    I was having difficulty finding a unit that had the proper finish, glass doors and a center channel opening. Is also wanted something that would complement the 86” screen. The price was a bit daunting but the workmanship seems to be good with clean fit and finish and solid construction. I balked a bit at the price but it was pretty much just what I was looking for and I needed to consolidate my components.

  • I'm looking for a cabinet that I can place my 40lb amp and 35 lb. integrated amp on separate shelves. Will this cabinet support the weight?

    The top can hold 80 pounds and you can put 20 pounds on the adjustable shelf that pulls in and out.

  • I've had issues getting furniture delivered via fright companies which drop it at the curb. Does the $159 delivery include bringing it into my house and putting it in my home theater? just to the door, or to the curb?

    No, they left at front door and would not bring inside. Pilot was the shipping company

  • When you have to move this unit, can you slide it across a wooden floor without causing any damage to the floor?

    I would strongly advise placing furniture pads under each of the six legs. The cabinet weighs nearly 300 pounds, and would most certainly mar a wooden floor. Given the wiring typically associated with A/V cabinets, there will be be times when you need to access your A/V components from the back. So, furniture pads are a must.

  • what is the width and the depth of this unit.

    Length is 72", depth is 20", top glass piece is 18" deep, and drawers are 17" deep. Sorry for the late reply: - )
