A: Yes, both are active at the same time.
Q: When I buy it in store does it come with a boom arm and it just the microphone
A: Just mic. Boom is separate
A: I think the USB connection is compatible with PS5 but not with XBOX. The audio jack is only for monitoring but you could also use that to connect to the 3.5mm microphone in port on your controller if you get a headset splitter.
