RØDE - PodMic USB - Versatile Dynamic Broadcast Microphone - Black

So far so good. USBc plug-n-play ready on a Mac. It "remembers" your settings on the computer and embeds that on the mic itself - pretty nifty. Rode's software is great! Easy settings for one click auto settings or you can dive in and micro-adjustments. Compact, heavy duty, attractive.

[Employee of bestbuy] Rode PodMic USB Review The Rode PodMic USB is an impressive evolution of the original PodMic, delivering versatility, clarity, and professional-level sound in a compact and affordable package. What makes this mic stand out is its dual connectivity—it supports both XLR and USB-C, making it perfect for beginners and experienced creators alike. Sound Quality: The mic offers rich, broadcast-quality audio with great presence and warmth. The dynamic capsule does a solid job of rejecting background noise, especially useful if you’re in less-than-ideal recording environments. Whether you’re podcasting, streaming, or recording voiceovers, this mic punches above its price point. Build Quality: Just like the original PodMic, it’s built like a tank. All-metal body, sturdy mount, and a reassuring weight to it. It feels premium and durable right out of the box. USB Features: Plug-and-play simplicity with USB-C is a game changer. It includes internal DSP (digital signal processing), which allows real-time processing like compression, noise gate, and EQ through Rode Connect software. Great for creators who want clean audio without investing in an interface right away. XLR Flexibility: If you’re looking to scale up your setup later, the XLR output gives you the flexibility to run it through a mixer or audio interface. That dual nature is what makes this mic future-proof. Downsides: • No onboard gain control or mute button on the mic itself • Rode Connect is helpful, but not quite as advanced as some competing software suites • USB monitoring may introduce slight latency depending on your setup Final Verdict: The Rode PodMic USB is a killer mic for under $200. It’s perfect for podcasters, streamers, and remote professionals who want top-tier sound without the hassle. The dual connectivity alone makes it one of the most versatile mics in its class. Rating: 9/10 Clean sound. Rugged build. Future-proof

I really like this mic. Great for podcast and game streaming. You don't have to have it really close like other mics. And the foam cover is really good. Yes there is the Røde pod mic for $99 and that works really well but only has xlr. This panic has xlr and usb-c volume control on back as well as foam cover that slides on really easy and it stays on. It is also a dynamic mic. Pixar's really well with the Røde caster duo

This mic is easily worth $500 bucks or more. Highly recommended for anybody who does sales calls over zoom or who engages in podcasts.

This is my favorite mic I have used so far. Sound is crisp and clean! Easy to configure!
