Samsung 34” ViewFinity S5 Ultrawide Monitor is an excellent choice for a home office setup. The ultrawide screen provides ample horizontal space, making it easy to work with two windows side by side without feeling cramped—great for multitasking and productivity. I am thoroughly impressed with this monitor! The size is perfect, offering an immersive viewing experience without overwhelming my desk space. The picture quality is simply outstanding—vivid colors, sharp details, and deep contrasts make everything look fantastic. One of the standout features for me is the Picture-in-Picture (PiP) functionality. It allows me to multitask effortlessly, making my workflow much more efficient. The high refresh rate is another highlight, providing smooth visuals that are especially noticeable during fast-paced activities. Connectivity is a breeze, particularly with my Mac. Love everything about this display from picture quality, build quality, size, functions/features, and price. I am not gaming on this monitor so 100Hz was good enough for its current use. Just wished that this model came curved, but what more can you ask for, for its price and Black Friday deal. Very happy and satisfied with this purchase!

So far, so good. The picture is really good, and the monitor looks great for my setup. However, it does take some getting used to. Anything that will adjust itself to utilize the extra wide screen, like video games or editing software, is truly a game-changer. Which is why I bought it. But anything that is not does appear smaller on screen. You can place multiple windows on the screen at the same time, which is also great, but they all appear smaller than if you had them on a normal 27" monitor. Nevertheless, going ultra wide take some learning and getting used to, but once you do, you will never go back!

Screen is great quality. Just plugged it in and started it up with no hassle. Love having multiple windows up without it feeling cramped. I was going to go with a dual monitor setup by it's self but this is so great on it's own! I've been recommending it to everyone.

I use my computer for both work and for gaming. My job virtually requires either an ultrawide or two screens, and I have found 21:9 1440p to be the sweet spot for both productivity and entertainment. I previously had a used Viotek curved display of the same size and resolution, but replaced it with this because colors and contrast were severely limited and the backlight was very inconsistent and splotchy in places. This Samsung is significantly sharper, with great color accuracy and contrast. Samsung claims 72% NTSC gamut, which is roughly equivalent to 99% sRGB, and while I have no instruments to confirm this, colors do look very vibrant. Viewing angles are also quite nice for a VA panel as well. My computer is in a room that does not get a lot of natural light, so it’s plenty bright to serve my needs. Samsung states that minimum brightness is 250 nits and “typical” is 300, so it’s difficult to determine what the maximum is. However, the backlight appears to be very consistent to my eyes and. HDR content doesn’t exactly “wow,” given the somewhat low brightness measurement, but the support is much appreciated. As long as the display is not in an overly bright location, such as facing a window with sunlight coming through, it should be very viewable. Gaming and entertainment performance is generally quite solid, as well. “Game” mode with the fastest response time produces a very crisp, bright, vibrant image with very little lag or blur at higher framerates. 100hz is a fairly slow refresh rate for gaming, but large, ultrawide, high resolution monitors are typically better suited to immersive single player experiences rather than competitive gameplay. With Freesync enabled on an AMD GPU, 60-100 FPS gaming is very smooth and looks fantastic. This is a good budget choice if you prioritize good color reproduction, size, and FOV over raw performance. On the subject of FOV: I prefer a wider FOV on a flat over a curved display, because the curvature seems to emphasize lens distortion at your peripheral vision and appears more natural on a flat display. Note that some games still don’t take full advantage of ultrawide resolutions, so be forewarned that there may be visual oddities. Older games that don’t support 21:9 may appear very, very stretched in fullscreen mode and may require being run in a window instead. Just something to be aware of if you primarily play older games. 1080p and 1440p 16:9 video also looks just fine on this display, although it understandably cannot use all of the screen real estate. If your needs are for competitive gaming, console gaming, or film/video content, then I would steer towards a 16:9 display with a higher refresh rate. Longevity remains to be seen, but I have no reason to predict any issues with this display within the next 5-10 years based on my experience with other Samsung displays. Overall, it’s a solid multi-use display that looks great doing just about anything at a great price.

I bought this monitor for my brand new work computer build so I can do all of my work on a bigger picture instead of being stuck to 1920x1080 resolution like I did with my old Acer Aspire Z3-615 AIO computer. Me using LG monitors which all of them from the past 3 years are still going strong, this is my first time trying out Samsung monitors and I've not been disappointed with the QC. No backlight bleeding nor dead pixels out of the box. It has great colors and the 1440p resolution is great for having two windows open without your screen being so cramped up when windows are on two sides left and right compared to 1080p resolution where it was cramped up to me.

This monitor is definitely good for its price (and when it is on sale, even better). I was shopping around for a bargain gaming PC and became hooked on the idea of purchasing an ultrawide monitor to go with my setup, and I found this one discounted. Overall, I think it was a good decision. It's really enhanced my gaming experience and the colors and graphics are crisp. I think buying "gaming specific" monitors is a scam, this is just as good and far cheaper than you are going to find on the market. Additionally, as a college student, it was a lifesaver in writing my final papers for a few classes. Being able to pull up my windows side-by-side is something I didn't really think about, but it's probably my favorite thing now. On to my only complaint: I really don't like the stand that came with it. It feels cheap, it's not adjustable, and my monitor always points slightly down no matter how much I tighten the screws. This really isn't the biggest problem, however, because you can just go get another arm/monitor/stand and that will fix the issue entirely. Overall, I'll give it a 8/10 Both gamer and work-friendly!

Bought the Samsung Ultrawide 3440x1440p 100HZ VA panel monitor and I had my doubts (due to people saying VA panels suck ) but I took the risk anyways . I am coming from an old LG Ultrawide from 2018 2560x1080p and this one is actually really , really good . The colors look better than my older monitor and obviously sharper images and gameplay . The viewing angles aren’t bad at all and I don’t get ghosting with scrolling like I’ve seen other YouTube videos say. I played an FPS game and strategy game on it and looked amazing , no issues . I went down from 144HZ on my monitor to 100hz and don’t notice a difference . This panel , atleast is really really good. The contrast is amazing , it’s soft on the eyes , colors are awesome , not curved so you can do multimedia without warping . The only issue I have , this being my first 1440p is that some sites the tech is too small but I’m sure that’s a site scaling issue . I recommend this to anyone looking for a good gaming and multimedia without breaking the bank. This is on sale for $250

This is an excellent monitor for the price! I have it connected to a MacBook Air 15" and it worked out of the box using a simple USB C to HDMI 2.1 cable. That said, you have to use BetterDisplay to get a more complete list of resolutions to choose from (this only applies to the Mac). It did take me a while to get it to look perfect, as far as black levels go, but the level of detail and quality is on par with the liquid retina XDR display in the Mac itself. I wasn't too sure about using an ultra widescreen display TBH, but it's just PERFECT! I have my dock on the left side of the screen. I am using stickies next to the dock (yeah, Macs still have those and they're quite useful when you actually have space for them). On the far right I have Stage Manager running, which is a very useful and smart tool for organizing open windows. Overall, I am very pleased with this setup and the monitor is surprisingly capable for what I use it for (which is graphics design, photo/video editing, and light gaming).

Super Wide Screen--I can have 4 windows up at once comfortably. Graphics are solid, but screen brightness maxes out lower than I expected. I'm very happy with it, but unfortunately the stand is poor quality. I bought brand new and joined it with the monitor per the manufacturers instruction, but the monitor stand started to split on day 2 after it was connected, forcing the screen to slowly tilt. Now I have to tilt it back when that happens and be careful. The screen's heavy and the split occurred at the parting line where the two injection molded parts are assembled. I examined the polymer stand and found it to be light and relatively hollow for such a heavy load. Conclusively, A great monitor addition for productivity(you can really fit so much information on it). A poor monitor for gaming or watching movies. Grab a Samsung Odyssey if you're needs lean towards the latter (Odyssey screen brightness is epic).

Overall such a great monitor. Its a samsung i cannot complain. This is quality. Easy to set up an large view

I love this display is my first ultra wide monitor, the experience has been so satisfying that I won't go back to 16:9 This particular monitor doesn't offer any spectacular gaming performance, yet is so good that for a person that games in the weekends and mostly displays youtube , I can state that the value you get is solid. Has no speakers though, so consider that. Yet isa solid monitor . Color are vivid, not so much on HDR is seems kinda washed out. However this isn't a negative on my eyes , I prefer YCbCr color anyways so is no big deal.

Excellent monitor! 100hz definately good enough for me. Last monitor was 120hz -no noticable difference. Looks great!

Great monitor! Easy to set up and works great. I use two of these for business, not gaming and they work well. Perfect screen size to split into 4 screens, 2K picture quality, 100hz refresh rate.

I Really love this monitor. It has the perfect dimensions, can clearly fit 2 tabs on the screen at once, has excellent graphics, and is so easy to use and set up. Huge upgrade over my last monitor.

This is a beautiful monitor. I purchased an open box for a few bucks less than a new one, but spend the extra money and get that new one. The open box didn't have the manual or the HDMI cable in it. Had to google the monitor to see how to properly set up dual screen. Works perect!
