A: If you are buying geek squad, certified refurbished products, you are simply buying something with a fancier label than open box. The original in-store warranty/return policy still applies so if you are not satisfied with it, you can bring it back for a full refund. These are items people have typically bought, take it home, opened, used, and then returned, in the time frame/window. Best Buy takes back the item, inspects it, cleans it, if necessary, and will probably scan it with a drive diagnostic tool, to see if there is any corruption or damage to the drive. If the drive is good, they will Reeboks it slash the price a little bit and put it up for sale. So far, I have not had bad experiences with these, even though I’ve only bought three so far.
Q: What is the warranty for this refurbished SSD?
A: No Samsung warranty for refurbished. I just got a response from Samsung because my SSD started failing. Here's their response: "After reviewing the Bill of Sale provided for this unit, we noticed that the drive was purchased refurbished. Samsung's warranty only applies to the Purchaser of the Product in its original sealed packaging. Since the unit is listed as certified refurbished, that indicates the drive had already been purchased and the original sealed packaging was opened by someone else first. As a result, your warranty claim has been denied, I apologize for the inconvenience. Great drive, usually little usage on these refurbs
One of the best consumer SATA SSD's on the market, very fast and very reliable. These refurbished drives when discounted (500GB at $40 and 1TB at $70) are excellent deals (would avoid whenever not discounted to those prices or lower and just wait). I've bought multiple of these Geek Squad refurbished Samsung drives and have not had any issues and they've all had very little usage as you can see in my photos for three 500GB drives I purchased December 2021. I can confidently recommend these

Good quality drive
Solid drive, plenty of speed and easy to install. This was a great choice for a raltively cheap SSD. While it comes with 466GB after installation, the speed handles everything I can throw at it.

Price was right
Got it on sale 500gb for $30 to use as external for ps4. Wasn't able to check prior usage but it did boost load times pretty noticeably. Overall good deal for the price.
