A: No, this model is not multi-regional.
Q: Can this be mounted vertically behind the tv?
A: Hello I don't think that mounting the player vertically would be a good idea. There are no mounting slots for screws on it and the disc drawer my not function properly.
Q: Is it 4K native not just upscaling?

A: DTS-HD, Atmos, HDR10+, and HDR10. It doesn't support Dolby Vision. Don't know about DTS-X as that may be a bitstream passthrough.

A: Hello Yes, this is a better player and a little more expensive. I have both model players (the 9700 in the living room and the 9500 in the bedroom) and I am very well pleased with both model players. The 9700 has a few more features and I purchased it more recently. I have always been well pleased with Samsung products ( I also own three of their tv's). I hope this information has been helpful.
