Q: so if I was to buy a radio from best buy this is the installation charge?
A: No, this is only one specific part of the install / they try to trick you by letting you believe this covers the cost of the install - it was almost $300 to have mine installed, including this free install, and having two of the required parts (the radio itself and the satellite connector)
A: in your case the standard install would be your charge. The difference between them is the standard only included running the antenna, and mounting the unit. The advanced install is all those plus hooking up the power source to the car under the dash so it is not visible and installing a fm modulator. Those would be if you are doing the stand alone modules where everything is controlled by the universal siriusxm tuner with the display on it

A: I was running a factory radio in my 2014 Tahoe. Went to BEST BUY and bought the new radio, XM, FM, AM, GPS and so on, with install included for under $700. The install was "one and done" and haven't had any issues with it since. The only thing that they didnt hook to it was the reverse camera, since my factory camera displays on the rear view mirror. That would have only been a few dollars more for the additional wire.
