Q: Can you connect it to the fuse box?
A: You could if you bought an inline fuse also. But the way it comes no this splices into wiring. Which isnt much different. If your powerpoints(cigarette lighter) are switched accessories you could just crimp it to that wiring assuming you want your device to power off when the car does(switched accessory). If you dont want it to power down when the car is off then you can pretty much tap into any 12v fused source but i wouldnt go over 15amps
Q: Can I hook a dash cam and gps both to this unit
A: I did. This only has one port. So i ordered a splitter from ebay for like 5 bucks so i could split the 1 port into 2. I have a garmin gps and rexxing front/rear dashcam powered from this. It would also depend on how many amps both of your devices would draw. I split mine at the end of a usb mini 2.0 wire with a usb mini 2.0 splitter. That eliminated running 2 wires down from the mirror.
