You could if you bought an inline fuse also. But the way it comes no this splices into wiring. Which isnt much different. If your powerpoints(cigarette lighter) are switched accessories you could just crimp it to that wiring assuming you want your device to power off when the car does(switched accessory). If you dont want it to power down when the car is off then you can pretty much tap into any 12v fused source but i wouldnt go over 15amps
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are other versions like that by different makers. But you could always cut the splice ends and add a wired fuse. Keep in mind an accessory shuts off when the car does or shortly after and some are always powered. A simple you tube video can show you how to find the difference. I'd cut both and put a ring terminal on the ground so I could secure it with a bolt or screw to the chassis.
