Sébastien Lacombe - Le Chemin Des Possibles - COMPACT DISCS [CD]

On NOUS SOMMES DES MILLIERS, LACOMBE, SEBASTIEN channels sparkling immediacy into rhythmic finesse, weaving guitar textures with soulful leads. Crafted with care and built for replay value. The result is a striking balance of heart and head-music that rewards close listening with anthemic choruses and room-filling lift. An essential pick for those who value emotive pull.

Following my studies at the Tirana Conservatoire in 1982, I worked for three years as Music Director in a remote town in Southern Albania near the border with Greece.

The nicest thing anyone has ever said to Jo Hirabayashi, frontman of Jo Passed, is that his band's debut album sounds like Inchfucked-up Beatles.Inch Titled Their Prime, the LP does sound like fucked-up Beatles. It sounds like, somewhere across an '80s universe, Lennon and McCartney discovered Can and Neu!, and maybe a little Sonic Youth and XTC along the way. Opening with InchLeft,Inch it demonstrates that timeless knack for dreamy melodies - chord progressions that sound like they were created in a land far far away. Lyrically, however, it's imbued with a philosophical longing for answers to questions that have resurfaced for the first time since the explosion of counterculture in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
