Purchased this Shark Air Purifier because I had bought a second hand lift chair for my husband and didn't realize it smelled somewhat like smoke when I got it home. Not only that my husband and I were both having itchy eyes in that room and decided an air purifier was the way to go. Since I already own 3 other Shark air purifiers, but not this model, I decided to definitely go with another Shark. It was delivered same day and was extremely easy to set up. You have to turn the bottom cover off which exposes the filter. Then remove the plastic covering off filter and simply insert it back in. I keep it running constantly ~ not on Auto ~ and it has cleared up the smokey odor and our eyes are no long itching. Since it's our TV room and we're in it a lot this has been a blessing! It's not the quietest on a high mode setting but if you have it on low (like in a bedroom) it's really quiet. We keep it on 3 and it doesn't interfere with the TV sound and is not distracting at all. I am quite pleased with the purchase and have had no problems whatsoever with any of my Shark purifiers! It definitely does the trick. I can highly recommend the purchase!

One of the best things we bought and I’m glad we spent the extra money and got the big guns. As a severe seasonal allergy sufferer, my allergies have been so much better since we brought this into our apartment. Living in an older building, who knows what is hiding behind the walls and having a cat it definitely filters out the dander. Other things we’ve noticed is how quickly cooking smells clear out of the air. Whenever we cook it must sense the air quality because the number will drop down and within a couple of hours it’s back up again and we can tell them smell has diminished. In general, walking in the door you can tell how fresh the air smells compared to being outside in the hallway of our apartment building. Smells like a new place inside. Absolutely amazing! I attached a picture of the filter, we got about 7 months out of ours. Filter life had 10% remaining. But you can clearly see the left is the used one and right is the new one. I would recommend this product to anyone with allergies and combine that with fresh smelling air this is a home run.

After my son was diagnosed with asthma, I became much more aware of the air quality in our home. I first bought the smaller version (same brand) for his room, and then got this one for our living area since it covers a larger space, but it ended up in our bedroom instead! Even my husband, who usually doesn’t pay much attention to things like this, ended up loving it. Now it permanently lives in our room, and I’ll have to buy another one for the living space. It keeps the air noticeably cleaner, and the gentle, soothing sound is perfect for nighttime.

I installed this unit in my bedroom. Helps me with my allergies and helps with the dust that I have in my home which in turn, helps me sleep better. I would dust my furniture and need to clean it again about two days later. With this I’ve gone more than a week without dusting my bedroom furniture. So far so good, no complaints. I’d highly recommend.
