My family has owned many brands of microwaves and the Sharp Carousels have always been reliable and easy to use. We had a newer Inverter type microwave that was almost too much power for us. It only lasted about a year so when I started looking for a new one I decided to go back to a Sharp. The microwave is by far the most used appliance in our kitchen. It's important for us to have one we can count on. We've had this model for almost a month now and it is working fine. We have cooked and defrosted with it and popped several different size bags of microwave popcorn and it has performed perfectly. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who needs a good, dependable microwave oven.

Well this microwave looks killer. It works pretty good. Im concerned the buttons will wear out but for 130 if it lasts a while it will be okay. Mine has a wierd quirk. When first turning on the plate kind of jerks at different speeds for a bit. It doesnt turn nicely. Ill just make due. It seems moderately powerful but doesnt blow me away either. Overall im happy with it as long as the plate actually turns.

LOVE IT! This is a replacement for my 7 year old counter-top microwave oven. I love all the new things I can do with a newer, more powerful microwave oven. I do about 90% of my cooking in the microwave oven so I'm familiar with using different power levels, but the "One Touch Cook" buttons are very handy. I really like the "Reheat" button which does the job perfectly without drying out the food.

I love my microwave so far but have only used it to cook my oatmeal with almonds, raisins, and crunchy granola. That's why I only gave it a 4-star rating. Once I use it to cook bigger and heavier meals/things, the rating may change.
