With one compact remote, I can now operate all basic functions of my TV, Roku, Soundbar and Blu Ray player. Easy to customize and pair with your most used functions from other remotes. My coffee table is now uncluttered by remotes and I really like the simple buttons.

I read a few of the negative reviews and I’m quite confused by the majority of them. First and foremost if the holder does not fit the remote the unit does come with gap fillers and if they don’t work is an amazing invention my fellow reviewer‘s maybe you’ve heard of it it’s called Velcro.. you take a piece of Velcro you put it on the inside of the holder you take the other piece you put it on the remote and that takes care of the slippage. However for me in my experience I found a holder that worked perfectly. It’s nice and snug. Next for the people complaining that it doesn’t do 50 things at once it’s not meant to do that it’s simply meant to replace the TV remote so you don’t have to grab that remote every time you wanna turn on and off the power of the TV or change the volume. The Roku remote that I have for my kitchen TV does not have the ability to do that. I bought a universal remote and it kind of worked but it had a lag time for some reason. This side-click for only $30 is just fantastic. I don’t have to look for the TV remote to turn on the power I don’t have to look for the TV remote to turn up the volume it just works great it’s simple if it’s good in my head it’s snug I even built a custom Holder on the wall so it doesn’t even take up any extra space on the kitchen counter. Be creative people! If you use this product the way it was meant to be used it’s effective and genius.

Already love our Roku Ultra, but this Sideclick learning remote adds an extra “wow”. Programmed it to control the Harman/Kardon amp connected to our Master Bedroom setup and has enough buttons to control the Roku inputs but also pick the tuner if we want and control volume (punchline is, you can teach it ANY remote and combination of buttons). Fits nice in the hand too!

I hate using multiple remote controls. For older streaming devices that don't have power and volume, the Sideclick is an excellent solution. It is very easy to program and provides two additional buttons besides power, volume, channel, and source.

Purchased this to simplify operation of a new ROKU TV. Works well with ROKU remote to operate add on Blu-ray player without having to grab another remote. Highly easy to coordinate programming with other remote and has enough buttons to make necessary commands.

this item succeeds in it's purpose, no-brainer to program, and makes using Roku less intimidating for non-techie family members. My choice for keys programmed top-to-bottom: TV on/off, display, exit, up channel, down channel, source to tv, aspect ratio, back/return. These choices work for eliminating the need of my 55" smart 4K Westinghouse TV (great BB Black Friday purchase) remote, still needed for some functions if watching TV.

I was surprised how well these work. The signal is actually better than the remote that came with the TV! (Westinghouse) When I ordered these, I totally forgot that I use the headphone jack from time to time, but they easily slide down to allow access to it!

Purchased this to use with a Roku remote. Found it was easy to set up / program and is a great addition to the Roku remote. I can use the Roku, and control the other devices all from the combined unit. The instructions are clear, but sparse. The web site has videos showing how to program. The unit it will control several devises. I wish it had one or two more buttons for controls but it is a good unit that works. The only problem is the instructions call out the use of a enclosed clip that did not fit the Roku remote - not a big problem as they enclose 4 clips and one of the other clips did work.

This is just what I needed for my Roku setup. It’s nice that it comes with several adapters to fit different Roku remotes so that’s a plus. Setup was fairly simple, my only gripe, and it’s a minor one, is that you can’t sync two things to the remote, like a Blu-ray player & my HDTV. The clips that hold everything together fit snugly, but if you have kids be careful, they can break it apart pretty easily. I just put some double stick tape between the two to keep it together.

This is a convenient addition to your Roku remote, and it does work well. It's also extremely easy to program. However, the clip that attaches it to the remote is not that tight and feels a little flimsy when you press the buttons. It's also a little pricey, for a flimsy little universal remote, and I don't think it's worth it. Three stars because it works well, but overall, you should pass. Especially now that Roku includes both power and volume buttons on their remotes, there's really no need for this now. Too expensive, and only for older Roku players.

I'll admit I was skeptical of the Sideclick remote at first. The idea that this remote could do control my TV while connected to my Roku remote was a tough sell at $30, especially when I could get a cheaper (albiet slightly more complex) remote for less. Best Buy recently had the Sideclick for $22.99 as part opf a 1-day sale and I decided to pull the trigger. I get the remote home and immediately begabn setrting it up. Setup couldn't be any easier. I had to put my existing TV remote in front of the Sideclick, click on the sideclick button I wished to program, and then press the corresponding button on the TV remote. After a few seconds the button was programmed. I repeated this process for all sideclick buttons and saw that everything worked! I ended buying 3 more of these through another vendore who also had them on sale (Best Buy was already sold out) as I have 4 Rokus in my house that all now use the sideclick, and I couldn't be happier. If you currently have to use your TV remote to control volume and device input settings when using Roku, then this device is for you!

I had THREE remotes... TV, receiver, and Roku (DVD too, but I'll get to that). I used the TV remote to turn on the TV and select the input when the DVD went to sleep and reverted the input to antenna, aka snow. I used the receiver remote to turn on the receiver for my surround sound, and I used the Roku remote to select content. I was using the DVD remote to access streaming like Netflix and Amazon so that required the receiver remote to change the input from cable box to DVD. Eliminated all my cable equipment, but for that info go to Lon TV on YouTube to cut or shave cable costs. Anyway, I was able to program the SideClick for TV power and input select, and for receiver power, volume, and input select. I still use the DVD remote for DVDs, obviously, but now that's all I use the DVD player for. BEST OF ALL... the "wife test" has been successful. SIDE NOTE: I had to get a little creative with the buttons to accommodate all of the above. For example, I programmed the up/down arrows for the TV for TV power and ENTER for the TV input select.

Although I don't like that the remote no longer fits neatly in my hand, this item does what it says. I need only this remote to turn the TV off and on, change my sources, volume up and down and channel up and down on regular TV. I wanted one remotte, and I got one.

Sideclick setup was a cinch and worked as soon as the learning install was done. Haven't had a problem with it since I set it up a month ago. My wife now has one remote to use again for our bedroom Sharp 55 in TV and says it works like a charm, since I told her what the buttons are for.

I must admit that I was skeptical about this product before purchasing. It arrived promptly and I must say that I really enjoy using it. Since I use my roku for basically everything, this thing finally elimates the need for an additional remote. I def plan to buy more.

Device works as advertised. A little heavy and wide in the hand at first, but got used to it quick. Only quirk is that the device covers up the headphone jack on the Roku remote, but was able to work around the issue by sliding the device down to expose the jack. Was able to program my LG TV and Sony Surround Sound functions onto the remote easily, so now my wife can turn on the TV and adjust the sound without having me find the correct remote for her. Now, one remote does it all. She's happy with it, so a happy wife means a 5 star review.

It has been almost a year and I am still happy with this attachment, no more loose controls around the house, a little bit expensive considering the new generation of Roku controls are coming with the option to control your TV as well.

Clever way to control Roku-related additional functions, such as volume, TV power, receiver power/input selection, etc. all from expanded Roku remote. I had no problems with Sideclick learning functions from Harmony universal remote.
