- Description: The Swedish pianist Niklas Sivelöv (b. 1968, Stockholm) joins the ranks and continues the great tradition of the pianist-composer with this first-ever recording dedicated to his own compositions. His 24 Preludes, written 2010-14, takes it's place in the tradition established by Chopin, Scriabin and Shostakovich. This recording presents some of Mr. Sivelöv's early work and some of his most recent, completed earlier in 2015, with music colored by a range of influences, from Bach to jazz. Limited vinyl LP repressing in gatefold jacket. Off the Wall is the fifth solo studio album by Michael Jackson. It was released on August 10, 1979, following Jackson's critically well-received film performance in The Wiz. While working on that project, Jackson and Quincy Jones had become friends, and Jones agreed to work with Jackson on his next studio album. Recording sessions took place between December 1978 and June 1979 at Allen Zentz Recording, Westlake Recording Studios, and Cherokee Studios in Los Angeles, California. Jackson collaborated with a number of other writers and performers such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder and Rod Temperton. Five singles were released from the album. It was released on August 31, 1987, nearly five years after Jackson's previous studio album, Thriller. Bad was recorded during the first half of 1987. The lyrical themes on the record relate to media bias, paranoia, racial profiling, romance, self-improvement and world peace.
