Brand new 1/24 scale plastic model kit of the Land Rover 109 LWB (Skill 3) by Italeri. This kit comes in a brand new box and features a detailed engine, real rubber tires, colorful decal artwork, vintage style packaging, and parts molded in color unless otherwise indicated, with "chrome" trim detail that can be striped on with silver paint. It is an officially licensed product and requires paint and cement, which are not included. The assembled model measures approximately 9.5 inches in length. The Land Rover was one of the best-known symbols of "Made in England" on four wheels and is a milestone in the history of off-road vehicles. Born immediately after World War II, with the first prototypes made in 1947, it was designed to satisfy both civil and military tasks. Inspired, though not directly, by the American Jeep, it featured 4x4 all-wheel drive and a sturdy, reliable structure capable of tackling the most difficult and demanding routes. The aluminum body provided lightness while offering resistance to corrosion and a long service life. By 1971, when the Series III was introduced, more than a million units had already been produced in both civil and military versions, available in the 88-inch "standard wheelbase" or the 109-inch "long wheelbase," the latter reproduced in this kit.
