A: The Size of the NEX3 and 5 is to provide a smaller area with less, and still have the DSLR Lens changing ability. for a fully functional Shoe might we suggest the full Alpha DSLR series that provides Shoe, and Lens options. There are no current plans to add the Shoe Mount to the NEX series camera.
