Q: Can you ad a woofer to this tv without sound bar
A: I do not think that you would be able to tie in a wireless subwoofer into the TV and still have the Highs and Mids come from the TV. That would require the TV to have a low-frequency pass-off, which it doesn't have. To be honest, unless you need to have a rumbling bass to go along with your TV viewing experience, the sound built into the TV is really good sound quality. As a matter of fact, unless you wanted to have a full-on Surround Sound experience which you would need to pass off the sound to a soundbar or surround receiver, the TV sound is good enough.
A: It has apps which include Netflix, Amazon Prime ,Disney+. Stand is approx. 25” wide and 12” deep.
Q: how is this Sony for gaming and how is the color or should I stay away from Oled for gaming .
A: I’m using the PS4 on my Sony 65” A8G and I love it!
A: Hi, MJ301! Yes, it is needed. You will need a 4k source in order for your TV to display a 4k content. So upgrading your Directv to a 4k package is recommended. And, please refer to this link for additional information about 4K viewing: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/televisions-projectors/articles/00141961 Hope this helps! -Sam
A: You don’t need a sound bar. Sound is very good. I don’t have a sound bar so I don’t know if yours will work.
A: 70.5 pounds in box. 49.5 lbs with stand. 44.8 lbs when wall mounted (without stand). I am not sure I agree with 70.5 but that is from Sony. Seems to be 10 lbs as I still have the box and it does not feel that heavy. Hope this helps.
A: This is a rough measurement basically because the stand is shaped like a boomerang. Facing the stand towards the front, the stand is 13" wide, the length is 11 1/2"" long and the back flares out to 26". The stand can be reversed so that width of 26" is in front but also makes the television taller by about 2 inches to accommodate a sound bar underneath the A8G.
