The OLED quality is also appreciated, contributing to an amazing viewing experience. This is my very first OLED TV purchase after dedicating ample time to comparing other brands and posing numerous questions at various BestBuy locations to gather insightful feedback ultimately leading to an incredible OpenBox deal discovery from a Ocoee location. Picture Quality – Stunning OLED Brilliance From the moment I powered on the Bravia 8 OLED, I was floored by the sheer clarity and richness of the image. The self-emissive OLED panel delivers perfect blacks and stunning contrast. Shadow details in darker scenes (like nighttime shots in The Batman) are nuanced, never crushed or washed out. Color reproduction is natural and vibrant thanks to XR Triluminos Pro, which handles subtle skin tones and vivid landscapes equally well. The XR OLED Contrast Pro engine dynamically adjusts brightness, so HDR content pops without oversaturating colors. • Resolution: 4K Ultra HD (3840x2160) • HDR Support: Dolby Vision, HDR10, HLG • Peak Brightness: Impressive for an OLED — much improved over older models ⸻ Sound Quality – Surprisingly Full Without a Soundbar Sony continues to innovate with Acoustic Surface Audio+ — the screen itself acts as the speaker. It’s wild how sound feels like it’s coming from the actor’s mouths or the exact spot where an explosion occurs. Dialogue is crisp and clear, and bass is respectable for an all-in-one system. That said, pairing it with a dedicated Dolby Atmos soundbar (like the Sony HT-A5000) truly elevates the cinematic feel. Smart Features – Google TV Done Right The Bravia 8 runs Google TV, and it’s the most intuitive interface I’ve used on a smart TV. Content is well-organized, and voice control with Google Assistant or Alexa is responsive. It also supports AirPlay 2 and Chromecast built-in, so casting from an iPhone or Android is seamless. If you’re a Bravia XR user, the Sony Bravia Core streaming service offers IMAX Enhanced content and near-lossless quality (far better than Netflix compression). Design & Build – Elegance in Simplicity This TV is gorgeous. Super thin panel, nearly bezel-less design, and a solid aluminum stand with adjustable height for a soundbar-friendly setup. It oozes premium quality. Eco & Smart Features • Ambient light sensors adapt brightness and tone automatically • Energy-saving modes are customizable • Auto Power Saving via presence sensors Final Thoughts: Is It Worth It? 101% Absolutely. The Sony Bravia 8 OLED is the perfect blend of performance, design, and smart features. Whether you’re watching 4K blockbusters, gaming, or streaming, it delivers a rich, immersive experience every time, Thank You BestBuy

The Sony Bravia 8 is a TV that truly delivers on its promise of stunning visuals and a premium viewing experience. The OLED panel produces breathtakingly deep blacks, vibrant colors, and an overall picture quality that feels cinematic. Whether you’re watching movies, sports, or playing games, the clarity and detail stand out. One of my favorite features is the Google TV interface. It’s intuitive and gives easy access to all streaming platforms, making it a breeze to switch between apps. The TV’s design is sleek and modern, blending seamlessly into any room setup. On the gaming side, the support for 4K at 120Hz and VRR means fast-paced action feels smooth and responsive, which is a huge plus for any gamer. However, I did notice the TV could struggle in extremely bright rooms since it doesn’t quite reach the brightness levels of some competitors. Overall, the Bravia 8 strikes a great balance between performance and value, making it a perfect choice for anyone looking to upgrade their home entertainment system without breaking the bank.
What would you expect from a Sony Bravia 8 TV? Great picture? Great sound? Great connectivity? This model has all that and more. Beautifully styled, thin, light weight. It’s a great choice for any place in your home. I mounted mine on a wall in our bedroom, replacing an older 55” set, and we couldn’t be happier. I have a JBL Bar 5 soundbar already in place in there, but I did listen to the TV speaker output. It is plenty good enough to stand on its own. If the soundbar ever gives up the ghost, I won’t need to replace it. The attached pictures are from DirecTV, Roku and a couple of Blu-ray movies played on a Sony 4K blu-ray player. Consistent quality across all inputs is evident. I primarily use Roku for streaming apps, but this set seems to have plenty of capacity for onboard app storage, should that be your preference. The one slight disappointment is the remote. It lacks a backlight and a separate button to directly select an input source. As is, you must go into settings first to select a source. Not a big deal, but it could be more user-friendly. Still, this model is a great option if you are looking for a superior 65” set at a less-than-top-tier price.
