The Sony Bravia 8 is a TV that truly delivers on its promise of stunning visuals and a premium viewing experience. The OLED panel produces breathtakingly deep blacks, vibrant colors, and an overall picture quality that feels cinematic. Whether you’re watching movies, sports, or playing games, the clarity and detail stand out. One of my favorite features is the Google TV interface. It’s intuitive and gives easy access to all streaming platforms, making it a breeze to switch between apps. The TV’s design is sleek and modern, blending seamlessly into any room setup. On the gaming side, the support for 4K at 120Hz and VRR means fast-paced action feels smooth and responsive, which is a huge plus for any gamer. However, I did notice the TV could struggle in extremely bright rooms since it doesn’t quite reach the brightness levels of some competitors. Overall, the Bravia 8 strikes a great balance between performance and value, making it a perfect choice for anyone looking to upgrade their home entertainment system without breaking the bank.

What would you expect from a Sony Bravia 8 TV? Great picture? Great sound? Great connectivity? This model has all that and more. Beautifully styled, thin, light weight. It’s a great choice for any place in your home. I mounted mine on a wall in our bedroom, replacing an older 55” set, and we couldn’t be happier. I have a JBL Bar 5 soundbar already in place in there, but I did listen to the TV speaker output. It is plenty good enough to stand on its own. If the soundbar ever gives up the ghost, I won’t need to replace it. The attached pictures are from DirecTV, Roku and a couple of Blu-ray movies played on a Sony 4K blu-ray player. Consistent quality across all inputs is evident. I primarily use Roku for streaming apps, but this set seems to have plenty of capacity for onboard app storage, should that be your preference. The one slight disappointment is the remote. It lacks a backlight and a separate button to directly select an input source. As is, you must go into settings first to select a source. Not a big deal, but it could be more user-friendly. Still, this model is a great option if you are looking for a superior 65” set at a less-than-top-tier price.

I bought the 65 inch for my man cave in the attic and it displays an incredible picture. The black look fantastic and the upscaling is superior when watching 720 or 1080p. The Elf movie look like 4k. I have last year model in my living room xr77a80. So this is an upgrade. They are a few Sony perks that l will personally look hard to buy a non Sony TV. Google TV is by far the best smart feature. It’s not even close. You dont need Fire stick since you get all the app and features and it at the palm of your hand and dont need extra gadgets. And even thought i really liked the LG G4, their smart Web-Os was non starter for me. I love the ht-a7000 soundbar and you can pair any new Sony tv with Sony soundbar to make the TV as center speaker. When l paired with the 77 inch oled as center speaker with my 7000, it make monster music, very impressive. Granted the 77 inch doesn’t need additional speakers. I also look into pairing my Sony PS5 with the Sony TV. The new Bravia TV come out factory calibrated with Prime video, Netflix and Sony Core which gives the buyers 5 Sony free Movies to chose from old or new movies and a year subscription to use it.
