This is m first mirrorless camera. I wanted to start small and simple and this was the best option I found. My intention was to work with more videos, and the Sony a7c sounded better for my low light needs (lots of fire dancing content), but the funny thing is that I ended up using it more for photography. The results were amazing. Fire photography is a challenge on its own, but this camera with a sigma 30mm 1.4 just took me to a new place for creativity and skills. I feel ready to upgrade to more mb and faster gear, but this Sony a7c is without a shadow of a doubt a beast if you can truly use it to its full capacity and make the best out of all its features. I wish there was more space for buttons and the view finder is not good at all. I got an attachment on amazon which fix the problem. Only one SD slot. I really dislike the app for transfer photos, it sucks. Battery life is extraordinary, I never got an extra and have been photographing and shooting lots of videos with one battery. The weight and size can't be beaten. It's a little funny when you have a bigger lens, but with my prime it's been amazing. Doesn't look like a big deal till you look at the photos. Amazing little camera. Can do a lot if you take your time to be one with it.

Super light camera even with a Small-Rig cage! I've used this camera with both a 24-70 2.8 and 70-200 2.8 GM and its still rather easy to hand hold. Its definitely thinner on the grip since its a smaller body but I see this as a strength rather than a negative. The eye-tracking and focusing is much better on the A7C vs the A7iii since this camera has updated software built-in. The video processing presets like HLG and Cine modes all look just as good if not better than the A7iii, so in terms of functionality its definitely better. The flip out screen is good too, if you ever need to take selfies with others this comes in handy or if you're filming video and need to show the subject how they look without having them walk behind the camera to see themselves (or yourself for that matter) this comes in useful. The lack of a front rotating dial kind of sucks but there's two rear dials you can use. However the bigger dial next to the screen itself is easy to accidentally touch. I found myself changing settings like aperture during sessions and I always had to double-check my settings as to ensure that nothing was changed since I last looked. This can be remedied by turning off the dial via the menus but that's really it in terms of negative stuff. The tiny viewfinder is great even though its small. For the price and size this is a great camera. I've been using it as a primary until the release of the new A7 IV and even then I'll likely continue using this A7C as the camera for use when I'm moving around a lot or with a smaller lens. Hopefully this review helps you as I basically dumped everything I learned from using the camera :)

Great price for full frame.I returned it but it’s not because it’s bad. It’s great. Actually most of the likes of gotten on my social media have been on this camera. Colors are better than what used to be on Sony. Grip is good except with larger lenses with larger hands. That’s really about the only con I can think of. This is probably better than any Sony camera I’ve used that isn’t more close to the 3,000 dollar range. Why I returned is just because I wanted something more fun to use and less great actually lol. Great in low light also compared to the apsc cameras I’m used to. It’s got the size and weight of those but like everyone says the internals of the a7iii. Great for street photography and portrait work
