Q: Does the screen pop out so you can see yourself taking a selfie?
A: Hi Amanda! The screen of the a6500 doesn't tilt to 180 degrees for selfie. -Anthony
Q: What is the main differences between the A6500 and A6300?
A: the 5-axis image stabilization for the a6500.
A: Hello blueridge457, this camera can absolutely do the job, for portrait our 50mm, 55mm and 85mm are great, the focal length really depends on personal preferences (for 50mm we have the SEL50F18F and SEL50F18 which is stabilized, SEL55F18Z and SEL50F developed with Zeiss. For 85mm we have the SEL85F18 and SEL85F14GM). As for wedding photography using a zoom that will allow you to face different scenes more easily would be recommended as well as extra batteries depending on the number of shots you are planning to take.
Q: will the Sony - FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Zoom Lens work on this A6500?
A: Hi djram, yes, the FE 28-70mm f/3.5-5.6 OSS Zoom Lens is fully compatible with the A6500. Thanks, -Mark
A: Hi John! Both APS-C and Full frame sensor cameras have their advantages. The biggest advantage of a full-frame is the image quality and image size. While the APS-C has its advantages on lens choices, since there are more lenses available for APS-C than a Full-frame. Using an APS-C lens on a full-frame camera will crop the image down to the size of an APS-C camera. -Anthony
A: I am new to photography as well. i have been renting an A6300 for my trips/events until i actually buy the a6500. the two platforms are very similar, i was able to learn the basics of the 6300 very quickly. because its a rental it didn't come with an owners manual, so i had to rely on information i sourced from the web. (there's plenty of it out there, my advice is that if you use youtube, look for the bigger accounts that have more views. i feel like they are more reliable and accurate) the camera can be used as a point an shoot in Auto Mode, or you can dive into the endless settings and customize. There's a settings reset option in the menu, so in case you go too far with customization, you can fix it all and return to factory settings. (i had to do that on my last rental, as the settings the previous person used were crazy). anway, do your research and see if this camera is right for you and what you want to use it for. i love the 6300 that i rented and can't wait to buy the 6500.. but again this is my first experience with a real camera so i have nothing to compare it to. hope this helps.
