Great head unit! The other reviews I read about the display being a little dim in the daytime are correct though. It can be a little hard to see when it's light out. However, this is the only thing about this stereo that isn't great. It produces good sound and connects quickly to my phone. I also like that it has a wireless remote.

I originally ordered a panasonic that i really like but during the day it was IMPOSSIBLE to see the display. This receiver has MUCH BETTER display visibility during the day. I was surprised that so many people reviewing this unit said that the display brightness didn’t adjust. It definitely adjusts and though it may not be perfect its much better than most. You can tell when you check the receivers they have at the store. Also, when i had the panasonic I realized that i didnt need a cd player, plus it was so complicated with all these crazy equalizer settings. Not this sony though, very easy to understand, the app is basic and the options are few. Most importantly, it sounds amazing!!! You can see in my picture that it’s pretty easy to see the display during the day in sunshiny florida.

He explained that Best Buy values its customers and their satisfaction, and to make things right, they would provide me with the Sony XAV-AX100 at the same price I paid—$139.99. The team processed the return for the incorrect model with no hassle and gave me the correct stereo I had been looking for. They even apologized for the inconvenience and made sure I left the store happy. What stood out to me was how smooth the entire process was. I didn’t feel like I had to argue or plead my case—they genuinely cared about doing the right thing. The Sony XAV-AX100 is everything I wanted in a stereo. The sleek touchscreen interface, seamless Apple CarPlay integration, and excellent sound quality have transformed my driving experience. I couldn’t believe I got such a high-quality product for such an incredible price, thanks to the store’s price match policy and the manager’s commitment to excellent service. This experience left a lasting impression on me. It’s rare to find a company that values its customers enough to prioritize fairness and satisfaction over profit margins. Best Buy earned a lifelong customer in me that day, and I’ll definitely be coming back for future purchases. For $120 you can't beat this stereo. Of course it cost me quite a bit more for all of the installation hardware (mounting kit, wiring harness, steering wheel control adapter, satellite tuner and a new bezel for my truck. Obviously everyone won't have all of these expenses. The sound is much improved over the factory stereo it replaced considering I didn't replace any speakers. All in all, I'm very happy with the choice and it looks awesome.

This radio is definitely an upgrade from my previous radio. I like that I can pair more than one device to the Bluetooth at a time, whereas my previous radio would only store one. I also like that it has a bass boost for the Bluetooth device. The radio looks good and sounds good and installation wasn’t too hard. I put it in a 1994 Mazda Miata and it fit ok with a few modifications to the installation kit. There is also a small gap at the bottom of the radio because the Miata was a ant designed for a double den radio but overall I’m satisfied with the look and overall quality of the radio. I would highly recommend it.
