Q: The sale price includes free installation. Are all needed items included in the price? How does free installation work?

A: You get charged a “wiring” fee plus you must buy the dash kit and wiring harness. In my gmc they also wanted to charge for a interface to keep my chimes ( lights left on, seatbelt, etc.). If I went with them my free install on a 70 dollar stereo would cost 200 plus the radio. I bought radio from them and dash kit and interface from Walmart. Was out less than 110 total and install myself. So yes there are hidden fees with free install. But it looks good on paper.

A: If its $100 or more the install is free. But your going to have to purchase the dash kit and adapter. All in all though if you buy a cheaper head unit than $100 its $40 for installation.

Q: Do I need to connect the microphone to use my phone

A: Yes, it's the only way the caller can hear you. Unfortunately mine doesn't work.

Q: I purchased this stereo and on the back it has the RCA outputs, so why did it require me to purchase a Audio Line Output for adding amps? Can't I use the RCA's on the back of the stereo to connect to my amp instead of buying Line Outputs?

A: You do NOT need line outputs as the RCAs allow your signal to get to amp/s

A: I don’t know if this helps you, but I bought this stereo for my husbands 2001 cobra and he needed the wiring harness.

A: No, this doesn't share the screen. However, the audio instructions from navigation comes through the sound system.

Very good unit
Great head unit! The other reviews I read about the display being a little dim in the daytime are correct though. It can be a little hard to see when it's light out. However, this is the only thing about this stereo that isn't great. It produces good sound and connects quickly to my phone. I also like that it has a wireless remote.

Much better than most at the same price range!
I originally ordered a panasonic that i really like but during the day it was IMPOSSIBLE to see the display. This receiver has MUCH BETTER display visibility during the day. I was surprised that so many people reviewing this unit said that the display brightness didn’t adjust. It definitely adjusts and though it may not be perfect its much better than most. You can tell when you check the receivers they have at the store. Also, when i had the panasonic I realized that i didnt need a cd player, plus it was so complicated with all these crazy equalizer settings. Not this sony though, very easy to understand, the app is basic and the options are few. Most importantly, it sounds amazing!!! You can see in my picture that it’s pretty easy to see the display during the day in sunshiny florida.
