Great sound and features. Very easy to setup. I prefer this over the larger versions that have additional speaker connections—this one has plenty!

The receiver offers everything you'd want from an 8K receiver including Dolby Atmos, a ton of streaming options and great sound. Further, the STR-AN1000 boasts the best connectivity of any other Sony model before it. For example, Sony has taken a page out of the Yamaha playbook with the ability to add wireless speakers -- such as the $300 SA-RS3S rears and $700 SA-SW5 subwoofer.

Excellent choice for a small family room 22’x 24’. This was a replacement AV receiver. The connection and setup was very simple including WiFi. The features that this unit offers are the same as the more expensive Sony units. But the Sony 1000ES sound quality is second to none for the price.

It is a perfect match with my ps5 and Sony Bravia Tv. I would recommend anyone who games on a ps5 to match it with this receiver

Item hasn’t arrived yet. I can’t review it for this reason. Delivery has been rescheduled twice so I’m giving it 1 star. I’m not recommending it for this reason, as well. May change my mind if it ever shows up. Looking forward to our new sound system.

Sound and picture are big step up from my 20 year old pioneer. My only complaint is at this level being an es and the price with zone 2 and 3 one should act as a true main out. I have Vandersteen model 4 speaker that have built in subs and need their own amp and external crossover. With no true main out there is no way for me to used the subs.
