This ensures the battery doesn't drain while they are sitting on your desk or in your bag. If you happen to be a bit forgetful, you can also use the Sony | Sound Connect app to set an automatic timer that shuts them down for you after a period of inactivity. As for charging, you don't need to plug them in every day. These headphones are designed to last up to 50 hours, so charging them once or twice a week is plenty. In fact, your battery will actually stay healthier over time if you only charge it when it starts to get low, rather than keeping it topped off at 100% daily.
