Q: If the baskets are removed can the shelves alone be used? Or is ventilation needed between them?
A: I don’t think the shelves are meant to store directly on them because they are built to convey the cold and ventilation is most likely needed. It’s better to use the basket because you can easily see what’s in them and the freezer is not meant to stay open long. I really like the baskets, they are very roomy and easy to pull in and out without having to look in the back of the shelves.
Q: Can this freezer be used as an undercounter appliance or are there reasons why it can't be?
A: The freezer needs proper ventilation...you should allow a minimum of 8 inches on the sides...4inches at the back and 12 inches at the top of the unit.
Q: Can this be used in a hot garage?
A: used it in my hot kitchen. don't have air and it ran in the 100' - 120' this past summer hope that helps
A: I measured the bottom basket (I think all 3 are identical?) and its dimensions are approx: 8 1/2 wide, 13 1/2 long, and 7 deep.
Q: Realize Baskets are removable but r there shelves
A: No shelves, even on the door. Not frost free.
Q: Is the plug three pronged or two pronged?
A: It is three pronged.
Q: How does the drain work? Does it have to be piped to an outlet?
A: I'm not sure it has a drain, but it is so small that it is easy to defrost and ckean. unplug put towels on each rack and let it defrost. Wipe it out that's about it.
Q: do package show contents if it is a gift
A: Ours was doubled boxed and I do not believe the outer box showed what it was.
