    Super worth it!

    Amazing! Huge time and headache saver! Saves a yearly clone software subscription cost! Worked on my ps3 hard drive on its last legs! Cloned it to a 128 Gbps SSD I had laying around that was too small for most other applications.

    Does the job

    Converted my 1 TB C: drive to a 1 TB SSD took about 2 hours to copy about 200 gigs. Installed and booted correctly. Haven't had any issues with my programs, even the snippy ones like Paperport and Photshop.

    So Far So Good...

    I've had a ridiculously hard time finding software that will reliably clone a windows hard drive. This product has so far cloned 3 and all 3 worked without issue. I should note, I used the external process where you insert both the blank and the drive to be copied, directly into the unit and press the button. As long as both drives are the same size, this process makes an exact duplicate of the windows system and all your programs and data.

    Great Product

    This product does exactly what it says it does. It allowed me to easily insert my hard drive from my old computer and get access to it for my new computer. It was easy to do and helped me recover all my data from old computer that crashed (the power unit failed).

  • Can I transfer all information (OS, photos, audio etc) from a existing 2.5" hdd in a laptop, to a new 2.5" ssd and then replace the hdd with the new ssd? No additional software or anything els will be required. Correct? Thank Basile V.

    Yes, the Startech makes an exact copy of you hard drive OS and all files. stand alone. Doesn't need to be hooked to a computer. I have the SDOCK2U313R and works great

  • Can I plug it into a functioning computer and use it to copy data from a hard drive (that I pulled from a computer that will not boot up) to a USB drive?

    you should be able to. as long as the data is still in tact you should be able to plug it into the dock and read it on another computer

  • Why pay $115+ for something that can handle only 6TB or less drives?

    The SDOCK2U313R is currently tested for up to 6TB size drives. However, there is no inherent limitation that would prevent a larger size of drive from working, and the SDOCK2U313R also has support for 4Kn (4K Native) drives. Atha, StarTech.com Support
