Lavender Networks is the debut album on Warp Records by Nu Age pioneer Fire-Toolz. The Maryland-born, Chicago-based artist also producers and engineers for other artists including New Joy's latest album Bug Land (Pitchfork Best New Music). Lavender Networks features Zola Jesus, Brothertiger, Nailah Hunter, Lipsticism, Jennifer Holm and Sling Beam. Dream logic, laughter in tears and emotional truth through absurdity are explored on this cybernetic journey running at fiber optic speeds.

Los Angeles independent tag Minky Records is issuing two crucial, hitherto unheard slices of music recorded in the '80s by the late L.A. punk rock legend Jeffrey Lee Pierce and his band The Gun Club. On June 12, the company will an exclusive single version of the Pierce original InchBad IndianInch and a cover of Jody Reynolds' InchFire of Love.Inch This Minky 45 will be accompanied by an even more impressive vault discovery Soulsuckers On Parade, a full-length 1984 Pierce solo recording drawn from an abortive session for the cowpunk compilation album Don't Shoot, first released by Zippo Records in the U.K. The vocalist is supported by an all-star unit comprising guitarist Dave Alvin, drummer Bill Bateman, and the late pianist Gene Taylor, then of the hot L.A. roots combo The Blasters, and bassist Jack Waterson of Green On Red; Chris D. (Chris Desjardins, who also produced the date) and The Gun Club's Kid Congo Powers guest on background vocals.Featuring covers of songs originated by Willie Nelson, Big Joe Turner, and Creedence Clearwater Revival, a wacky, profane blues Pierce improvisation called InchNew Way of Walkin', and a rampaging, demented seventeen-minute original, InchWalkin' Down the Street (Doin' My Thing)Inch, the album will be issued as a limited edition Kelly-green vinyl LP on Record Store Day (June 12), and an unlimited expanded CD package (with studio chatter and improvised vocals and jams) on the same day.

USA Nails their fifth album InchCharacter StopInch on October 23rd 2020 through Hex Records in the US. The new album from London-based USA Nails (and 2nd for Hex Records) is a post-punk, noise-rock platter that is as grating as it is catchy. The record was tracked live over 4 days at Bear Bites Horse in London with producer Wayne Adams. Though InchCharacter StopInch still features the pummeling noise-punk that USA Nails have become renowned for, it's balanced with more sober, downbeat moments. On it they explore identity - like the online personas of aggressive twitter users, influencers and vloggers, as well as more introspective takes on mental health, giving up on dreams, the joy (and despair) of being a part-timer, and contemplating who they would be if they decided to hang up their guitars for good. Guitarist Gareth Thomas comments, InchFor me InchCharacter StopInch is the best album USA Nails have ever made by miles. It's more varied than anything we've ever done before and I think it's stronger for it. I feel like it's more fully realized, and more complete as a collection of songs. Every time we get in a room together and write, the dynamic of our relationship as writers (and mates) develops a bit further, we get better at anticipating and complimenting each other. We've always tried to be efficient in our creativity, to do what feels natural and just let things flow. I'm obviously still really happy with all the music we've written up to this point, but on this record everything seemed to come together so sweetly. Inch Comes on clear green vinyl.
