About This Item

The sonic presentation of Blue Point No. 3 harkens back to vintage Shure & Stanton MMs remembered for their smoothness. With our tried & true MC generator system, that smoothness is enhanced with the subtlety & nuance you’d expect from a Sumiko MC. First and foremost – and if ever the word were appropriate – Blue Point No. 3 assembles its sonic picture from the ground up with its oh-so buttery low-end response. Bass enthusiasts are in for a treat here. Full & warm yet defined & textured, the coziness of the bass will invite you right in. It doesn’t stop there, however. You can expect the similar lushness through the mids that remain decipherable, high-frequency attack & decay that’s simply sweet & airy.

Audio-Technica - AT33xMLD Dual Moving Coil Stereo Cartridge - Black

The AT33xMLD features a microlinear nude stylus on a duralumin tapered cantilever delivering warm detailed sound ideal for rock and jazz. Its piano-wire suspension improves tracking and enhances mid-low range performance while the composite zinc aluminum and polymer body minimizes resonance for balanced natural playback. Independent PCOCC coils in the dual moving coil design ensure excellent channel separation and smooth signal transmission supported by a neodymium magnet and permendur yoke for efficient high-resolution sound.FeaturesDual Moving Coil Stereo Cartridge with Microlinear Nude StylusPCOCC Coils Ensure Smooth Signal TransmissionComposite Body Reduces Resonance for Balanced SoundMaterial DifferenceThe AT33xMLD’s rigid duralumin pipe cantilever which tapers toward the microlinear stylus tip for improved response is linked with a firm suspension mechanism slightly lowering the dynamic compliance. Two independent PCOCC coils are positioned at the cantilever’s fulcrum to ensure pure signal transmission for each channel.Sound BodyEach AT33x Series cartridge body is constructed of three distinct materials – die-cast zinc aluminum and high-rigidity polymer – optimally arranged to reduce and disperse resonance across the cartridge body so that no frequency predominates during playback. Threaded holes are incorporated into the body for easy mounting.Full Warm SoundThe redesigned AT33x Series cartridges deliver that classic analog sound rich in detail across the audio spectrum with lifelike expressiveness in the mid to low frequencies. The AT33xMLD is an excellent choice for playing rock and jazz records particularly those recorded in the 1950s ’60s and ’70s.  What's in the BoxAT33xMLD Dual Moving Coil Stereo CartridgeInstallation Kit

Audio-Technica - Audio Technica ATOC9XML Dual Moving Coil Cartridge - Red
4.0(1)

The AT-OC9XML Dual Moving Coil cartridge with Microlinear stylus is designed to provide outstanding channel separation. The Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting (PCOCC) coils ensure pure audio transmission and are aligned in a reverse V-shaped formation to exert less pressure on the stylus, thereby minimizing distortion. Audio quality is further enhanced by a rigid aluminum body that reduces resonance, a neodymium magnet and premium permendur yoke that increase the magnetic energy, and the nude Microlinear stylus on a boron cantilever that tracks the record groove with incredible accuracy, low distortion and high-transient response. The cartridge body has been pre-threaded, enabling it to be mounted to a headshell or integral tonearm with just two screws – no nuts required. Dual Moving Coil design, featuring independent coils for both left and right channels, provides outstanding channel separation. The coils are aligned in a reverse V-shaped formation, which exerts less pressure on the stylus, thereby minimizing distortion. The cartridge body is pre-threaded, enabling it to be mounted onto the headshell or integral tonearm with just two screws – no nuts required. Nude Microlinear stylus and boron cantilever provide lower distortion and high transient response. A neodymium magnet and a premium permendur yoke with high saturation flux density and outstanding magnetic properties further enhance the concentrated magnetic field of the coil gap. Aluminum body minimizes unwanted vibration for reduced resonance and superior audio reproduction. Pure Copper by Ohno Continuous Casting process (PCOCC) is used for the coils to achieve pure signal transfer.
