I use this stick for stills photography, and it adds just enough light (and even some color with the included gels) that makes it perfect for the work I do. It also breaks down small enough that I can attach it to the outside of my camera bag. The base that can be threaded to a tripod is not the best attachment point, just a be aware. Overall happy with this light source.

I am a professional photographer and lighting is always needed, specially portable. I have used ice lights in the past from renting, but to purchase they are quite pricey. These are a more affordable replacement, but with affordability comes restrictions. This unit will allow you to use it for about 1.5 hours on max with a full charge which isn't bad, but when the battery goes unless you have extra batteries or more than one of these you are done until a full charge. THESE ARE NOT CAPABLE OF BEING PLUGGED IN TO USE, you have to remove the batteries and charge them, which take hours.

The Lightstick is good for a quick need to fill an area or to light a single person for a portrait shot. The fact that it's battery operated with rechargeable batteries makes it very portable. The corrective gels are cumbersome to use.

Pretty nice light output. Does feel a little flimsy. The included gels doesn't seem to fit the stick slightly but is still usable. Great versatile and mobile lighting.

I purchased this LED lightstick for adding artistic highlighting to my portrait photography. I has ten levels of light, a diffuser and three colored gets, which makes it perfect for mood lighting. The light can be handheld or mounted on a tripod for hands free operation. If I could make one improvement, I would make it a lot brighter for use in general photography.

I like the design and light output of the LightStick II but I am returning the two I purchased because the batteries take many hours to charge and provide only 1.5 hours of light, which makes them not very functional for the lighting of extended length video events. The power source is battery only. Having no external power option for the LightStick is a major drawback.

Takes three hours to charge the battery and the light filters are not the best. However if you need some back lighting for a video to add depth, it can get the job done.

Great for run and gun portrait shooters, lighting is everything in photography literally. Use this to add some dimension to your photos and up your production quality. You wont regret it.

This has become my favorite mobile light tool. Comes with multiple diffusers of different colors, and a rechargeable battery pack. Great for on the go in darker areas

the light stick catch great angles and brighting the angles up.

the light was okay, however having to change out the gels as opposed to it being a solid tube with remote capabilities is why I did not like it.

This was purchased to try some portable and creative photography. You can add these to a stand and it'll light up anything in a car or in the streets. I love the fact that it's cordless and rechargeable. Not a fan of the gels that it comes with but at least they are added with the extra charger and cable you can't go wrong for the price.

I reluctantly bought it on sale thinking it might come in handy. I charge the batteries and tried it and it worked fine so I put it away until I needed it. A few weeks later I took it out and it doesn’t work at all the batteries are fully charged the light does not come on. Should’ve trusted my gut instinct and returned it immediately!

Was not crazy about the light. Created too much of a glare in my shoots.
