Sydney Sprague - Somebody In Hell Loves You - VINYL LP

LP WHITE vinyl, Limited Edition Spot Gloss Sleeve. HTRK's seminal debut gets a new cut to white vinyl with white sleeve and gloss cover. An abrasive record shrouded in sonorous pulses, deafening feedback and tension-soaked reverb that immerses you deep into their world. HTRK's lo-fi post-punk, post-industrial noise-electronica echoes Suicide, Throbbing Gristle and Joy Division. 'Nostalgia' took inspiration from the sound and imagery of David Lynch, The Birthday Party and electronic artist Pita. Rowland S Howard's 'Teenage Snuff Film' was also cited as a big influence, HTRK notably caught the post-punk legend's attention with their live gigs which saw him endorse the band and go on to co-produce their next 'Marry Me Tonight'. A compelling introductory statement that delves into their guilty nostalgia for the nihilistic energies rampant in the 80s underground. InchAn agitated haze of addictive ambivalence instead of the swagger and violence of their influences, the overall feeling is of beautiful disharmonyInch All Music..A1 - Hate Rock Trio A2 - Look What's Been Done A3 - Look Down The Line B1 - Look at That Girl B2 - Look At Her B3 - You Injured Me B4 - I'm All Broke Up

Vinyl LP pressing. When an album peaks at #3 on the Billboard Top 200, amasses a large fanbase worldwide, and quickly becomes certified platinum, it's clear it's something worth plugging into. With their debut album, the socially-charged Core, San Diego's Stone Temple Pilots deliver a hard-hitting grunge record that delves into dark lyrical territory, driven home by Scott Weiland's powerful vocals. With hit singles InchPlushInch and InchS*x Type ThingInch going on to become definitive songs of the 1990s, the band garnered a great deal of media attention - at times incredibly negative - for their whirlwind success. Rolling Stone readers named the group the Best New Band of 1992, whereas it's staff christened them the Worst New Band. Despite their polarizing reception, the Pilots would secure a Grammy Award for Best Hard Rock Performance for InchPlushInch and Core would be certified eight times platinum in 2001. Songwriting, you could say, is the band's definite core.

Translucent Forest Green Vinyl. Hailing from Phoenix, Arizona - a city known for it's triple-digit temperatures and the kind of existential dread that can only come from living in a giant oven - Sydney moves through life with guitar in one hand and an anxiety disorder in the other. Her debut album, maybe i will see you at the end of the world, released in 2020, earned glowing reviews from publications like NPR, Refinery29, Guitar World, and other outlets that sound very impressive when listed all together like this. Critics praised her for her honesty, wit, and ability to evade an impending mental breakdown by instead writing a really good song. Sydney has had a busy five years since then, writing and releasing her second album somebody in hell loves you in between a relentless touring schedule - supporting bands like Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, The Front Bottoms, Oso Oso, Spanish Love Songs, and Michigander. With songs that pair unforgettable melodies and sick guitar riffs over the general feeling that you left the stove on, Sydney has been quietly building a discography that speaks directly to the overthinking masses.
