The good: - Acceptable battery life - Sound is ok - Easy to use - Screen decent during bright scenes The bad: - Feels cheap, particularly the buttons - No picture controls - Need to use the remote for most functions - Absolutely horrid blacks. Dark scenes are basically unwatchable The last point is what causes this to get 2 stars. Dark scenes are beyond terrible. Easily the worst blacks I've seen on any screen. Far too much backlighting washes out the picture, leaving everything a grey blob. And on top of that, there's no display controls. If you only watch bright movies, it's fine. Otherwise, look for alternatives.

The 10 inch diagonal full HD screen is excellent. The Blu-ray and regular DVD's play perfectly. The stereo speakers are very clear. It also came with ear buds for private listening. It comes with a built in battery, a power adaptor for the house and one for the car. The included remote control works great. It also has a slot for an SD card. The player's swivel screen makes easier for me to view from a variety of angles. The player seems very solid and well built.

This is a nice portable Blu-ray player to either take with you on the go, or hook up to your tv to watch on a big screen. I got it on sale and it was a great deal. No problem with this item and it is still working great!

I have a collection of dvd movies. Have many “regular” dvd’s That are not Blu Ray, then as Newer movies came out I started collecting many Blu Ray movies and now have a large collection. I have an iPad to watch Some movies but not all. I have been waiting for a Portable Blu Ray DVD player to come out. The Sylvania player was perfect! The picture quality is great, with a great sound to it, but I use earphones. This little player has been a blessing to sit out on my apartment balcony, relaxing and watching my movies.

I bought this to have a way to watch movies on the road. It works great, the picture is excellent for its resolution. It outputs at the same 720p and I thought it had good resolution. The battery life is pretty good too, you can get a couple off movies in on one charge.

I bought this for my stationary bicycle so I could watch movies or listen to CD's. Very portable, easy to use, has great picture screen, and great sound with headphones. The speakers have a low sound which is typical for machines like this. Please note that this does not come with a carrying case.

This is an excellent Blu-Ray player that plays All Blu-Ray discs,dvd's as well as music CDs.The volume of the player is better than most DVD players I've owned.The colors are vibrant on my blu-Ray discs.overall, I am very pleased with this Blu-Ray/DVD/cd player. The player is easy to use with or without the remote.

This is just the sort Disk Player I have been waiting for. Not just for Blu Ray disks, but for DVDs as well. Even non-HD DVDs look so much better on this machine. No more pixels causing a grainy picture. It is well worth the price. And it's size is just right for a portable disk player.

A major improvement over earlier models. Portable players, with use of earbuds allow one person to view, at their choice, while another person in the room follows something else. This particular model has much better picture and sound. Thanks!!

I like the player for its portability. My wife would like more buttons on the player, rather than the remote. Overall, she likes the player and hopes to get many of years of use. All it neeeds is voice control so that I could use it. Please keep making them.

This is a excellent portable DVD player with a nice size screen. What's really nice is you can also connect to a home stationary television as well. Its portable, and can be used as a regular DVD player.

We purchased this unit for use on car trips and for watching movies / music while waiting during doctor visits and such. The picture quality is fantastic. Very lightweight and portable. The larger screen is nice to have !

It was easy to use - no trouble understanding the directions on how to operate. The picture quality and sound are good. It is easy to carry around, although I need to buy a case for it (too bad cases weren't sold with the unit).

This player is easy to use for just about anyone. The picture clarity is great. I wasn't expecting that much definition. Would highly recommend.
