Double yellow splatter vinyl LP pressing. For 16 years now, the Germany based four-piece Long Distance Calling is famed for it's weightless yet massive music, yielding seven full-length records and countless absorbing live shows all over Europe. The band brings the tradition of great progressive rock to a new generation of fans who refuse to consume fast food music, and has become a modern benchmark for imaginative, progressive and proudly eccentric heavy (and not so heavy) music. Their eighth album is titled Eraser a direct and heartfelt tribute to the gradual erosion of nature at the hands of mankind. It is dedicated to the world's endangered species, with each song representing one particular organism facing extinction. Immersive, progressive and endlessly inventive, Eraser is another self-evident career peak from these dedicated musical mavericks.

On The Beths' 2022 album Expert In A Dying Field, Elizabeth Stokes' songwriting positions her somewhere between being a novelist and a documentarian. The songs collected here are autobiographical, but they're also character sketches of relationships and more importantly, their aftermaths. The question that hangs in the air what do you do with how intimately versed you've become in a person, once they're gone from your life? The third LP from the New Zealand quartet houses 12 jewels of tight, guitar-heavy songs that worm their way into your head, an incandescent collision of power-pop and skuzz. The album's title track InchExpert In A Dying FieldInch introduces the thesis for the record InchHow does it feel to be an expert in a dying field? How do you know it's over when you can't let go?Inch Stokes asks. InchLove is learned over time 'til you're an expert in a dying field.Inch

Heading into the spring of 2020, T. Hardy Morris had 12 demos that he thought would make-up his next album, then, everything changed. The world took a break and so his plans to record did as well. As we all watched and waited out the storms; viral and societal, we seemed to wake up scrolling through a whole new century, a time Morris began to refer to as The Digital Age of Rome.He scrapped the demos and began a collection of songs in quarantine where the unprecedented times and topics were unavoidable. He wanted to document the era sonically and lyrically in some way.InchI wanted it to sound like how the world felt to me in the second half of 2020. Uncomfortable and chaotic, dystopian but still beautiful.InchThe Digital Age of Rome was recorded in a deserted downtown Athens, Ga. With long-time collaborator / producer Adam Landry.Side A -1.
