Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing housed in a Stoughton tip-on sleeve. Recorded in a cold, amenity-free studio during the Midwestern winter of 1999, The White Stripes debut LP stands alone as the most raw, unpolished and InchDetroitInch-sounding recording The White Stripes would ever birth. They got their start on Bastille Day, 1996, when Meg started messing around on Jack's drum set, and Jack found it the most Inchliberating, refreshingInch sound, like that of a lark. And so is her drumming, often called InchprimalInch for it's simplicity. The once-married couple long-pretended to be siblings, and they seem to make the most of their partnership they dress similarly, and only in shades of red, black or white. This debut EP is evocative of punk, metal, blues and arena rock, even as it meets all these marks in measured economy. And there's covers on here, too Robert Johnson's InchStop Breakin' DownInch and Bob Dylan's InchOne More Cup of Coffee.Inch Both are haunting and very worth listening to. Album Tracks 1. Jimmy the Exploder 2. Stop Breaking Down 3. The Big Three Killed My Baby 4. Suzy Lee 5. Sugar Never Tasted So Good 6. Wasting My Time 7. Cannon 8. Astro 1. Broken Bricks 2. When I Hear My Name 3. Do 4. Screwdriver 5. One More Cup of Coffee 6. Little People 7. Slicker Drips 8. St. James Infirmary Blues 9. I Fought Piranhas

Limited 180gm vinyl LP pressing housed in a Stoughton tip-on sleeve. Named after the Dutch art movement and magazine of the same name from the early 20th century, The White Stripes sophomore finds the band recording in the comfortable confines of Jack White's Third Man Studios, then housed on the ground floor of his house in Southwest Detroit. This is the album that would propel the band into globe-trotting rock and roll prominence. The on-point covers of Son House and Blind Willie McTell pair wonderfully with both the minimal downtempo somber numbers and the maximum energy explosions of unadulterated power. Album Tracks 1. You're Pretty Good Looking (For a Girl) 2. Hello Operator 3. Little Bird 4. Apple Blossom 5. I'm Bound to Pack It Up 6. Death Letter 7. Sister, Do You Know My Name? 1. Truth Doesn't Make a Noise 2. Boy's Best Friend 3. Let's Build a Home 4. Jumble, Jumble 5. Why Can't You Be Nicer to Me? 6. Your Southern Can Is Mine
