The Wrong Words - I Will Change Your Mind - 7-INCH SINGLE [7 inch Vinyl Disc]

Tops are a four-piece band from Montreal, equal parts girls and guys, delivering a raw punk take on AM studio pop. Change of Heart / Sleeptalker is a 7Inch record with their lead single InchChange of HeartInch backed with InchSleeptalker.Inch Both songs are featured on their 2014 record, Picture You Staring, which is a rich array of timelessly crafted songs. Singer Jane Penny gives a new voice to the silent girl at the edge of the circle, disillusioned but honest and unpretentious, a tone complemented by David Carriere's seamless guitar playing and the measured drumming of Riley Fleck. Tops' subtle arrangements are delivered with a cool restraint that blend with the individuality and self-assured desire of their female lead. Change of Heart / Sleeptalker gathers strength through intimacy. Self-written, recorded and produced at Arbutus Record's studio in Montreal, these are impeccable examples of pop craftsmanship that will reward repeat listeners.

Phantastic Ferniture are back with their jubilant garage pop, releasing not one but two singles - their very first recordings since their critically acclaimed 2018 debut album. Recorded at Golden Retriever Studios in Sydney, produced by Phan Fern themselves, and mixed and mastered by previous collaborators Tim Carr and Andrew Edgson respectively, tracks InchChange My MindInch and InchDare to Fall in LoveInch immediately evoke everything about this band we have come to know and love. Julia Jacklin's ability to write a catchy yet effortlessly cool vocal hook is evident on first listen, but it's the magic that Phan Fern creates together that really brings the songs home.
